Even though this is an unorthodox team, my dream team would be Sasuke, Neji, and Sakura. Sasuke with his Sharingan is proficient with all the types of ninja techniques, especially in ninjutsu and genjutsu. Neji is a talented ninja who is excellent with the Byakugan and the Gentle Fist taijutsu style. Sakura may not be an offensive or powerful character, but she is intelligent and her analytical skills give her adept skills in using and dispelling genjutsu. Sasuke is straightforward offensive, Neji can either be offensive or defensive, while Sakura is defensive.
The main reason that I chose this team was because of these ninjas' potential to grow and develop. Both Sasuke and Neji were gifted at birth with their Kekkei Genkai ability, which already almost guarantees major potential to grow, while Sakura is a fast learner with the ability to control chakra efficiently.
NOTE: These three even make an even better team in Shippuuden with all their huge jumps in development, but since Naruto: Ultimate Ninja
Heroes is about the first portion of Naruto, it would be inappropriate to discuss it.
