- Death Note Movie Review

I went to see the Death Note Movie with my brother last night and I thought it was awesome. My brother who is not a big anime fan, like myself and he wasn't that familiar with the DN anime liked it too. The movie was about 2 hours long with a making the movie part featuring the director and actors after the credits that was around 20 minutes. I was happy to hear the dubbing was done by the English voice actors from the DN anime, currently on the Cartoon Network. The storyline was almost exactly like the anime with a few different parts thrown in to give the storyline some substance and in turn made the movie longer, which was a good thing. I loved the movie but, my complaints aren't about the movie, just the price of the ticket and the people watching it. Let me explain the complaints. First, the ticket cost $10 dollars per and I paid $20 for my brother and myself. Second, the movie was rated R for language and most of the people watching were under 17 years of age and very immature so, every time someone dropped the F-bomb, a character was first introduced into the story or Ryuuk the Shinigami said or did anything at least half the audience would start screaming, clapping, yelling or laughing at times that weren't even funny and as you can imagine made it difficult to follow the dialogue at times. Other than that, I'd recommend that you watch it if you haven't already. :0

I'm so psyched because, I'm going to watch the live action Death Note movie in English dubbing tonight. I haven't seen the subtitled version yet, although you can already buy it. I'm hoping the voices will be the same as the anime Death Note that's on Cartoon Network but, they probably aren't. This Death Note movie has its last showing tonight so, if anyone wants more info on where its playing in your state and what time, go to www.fathomevents.com to find out more about this movie and the premiere of the first BLEACH movie which is showing for two nights only on June 11-12. I will try to write a review for the movie as soon as I can. Enjoy the Death Note movie if you're going to see it. L8er :)
