- Mission 33 declined? What the frick!
-
Today I come online only to see this 'nice' little message when I check to see my my latest mission submission went
Approval status:
DECLINED
Comments: This is the same exact submission from another member "Santa500". Is this a duplicate account?
Needless to say What the frick? I never told this Santa500 guy or anybody else for the matter what I submitted for that mission. But Considering who I am why would I have a duplicate account?
Let's see, I've got the highest rank at Hokage's room and the most ryo. Practically everybody who's an active memeber of the community knows me. I have every badge you can possible actually have so far and my user name is in the manual for Ultimate Ninja 3.
Never mind the fact I'm a moderator and would never cheat like that, why would I bother with a second account when I'm already so sucessfull?
This Santa500 guy Hometown is : Pleasant Garden, NC, US
My Hometown is : Oakville, ON, CA
I don't even live in the same bloody country as that guy. We have different shipping addresses and if the Hokage can check IP addresses he'd see those aren't the same either.
The worst part is right now it won't even let me submit the mission again!!! It's a rank up mission so you guys can see why I don't want to miss out!!!
My mission submission for all to see
Yearbook Note:
That was the best school year ever! Belive it! If you want to find me during the summer you can catch me hanging out with Midori at www.hokagesroom.com! I can't wait until my next game Naruto: Ultimate ninja heros 2 comes out for the psp on June 25th so that we can all play it together!
Signed Naruto the future Hokage
Considering the mission requirements that the note must have the following
1) Hokage's Room URL (www.hokagesroom.com)
2) Your member name (so that they can find you here)
3) A message about NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2 and its release date (June 25th)
It's unavoidable that you're going to get some similarities as their are only so many ways you can throw thought those in, especially if you're trying to have it come from a naruto character as the mission suggest.
Now I haven't seen the other guys submission but if it really is that similar to mine in wording it's probally nothing more then a mere coincidence considering my message was generic in character Naruto the most popular character in the series.
Frankly given all my hard work and dedication to this site both as a memeber and a moderator and my contiuned and unwavering support of Bandai-Namco from Naruto to .hack to the Tales of series and beyond I think that I've more then earned the benefit of the doubt here. - Posted May 30, 2008 by Midori | 19 Comments | Share It

This other guy must have submitted it before you did... Weird. I'm sure Hokage will let you submit a different one.

It doesn't matter "who" you are. Anyone can make duplicate accounts for referral points and other reasons and no matter what it's against the rules. It's completely valid to be asked even if it's untrue. You have the most points and one of the highest levels on a "website" that will be closed in November, so what? In the eyes of the Affinitive employees, you're equal to every single other person on here.
Just send an e-mail explaining the situation if it really means that much to you.

Thief I'm one of the moderators, I'm supposted to be setting an example for the other memebers here so the LAST thing I'd ever do is cheat like that by setting up Duplicate accounts.
Why would I bother to waste my time doing something like that? It's not exactly like I'd need the extra 75 ryo you get for referring someone.

Don't take everything so personally, it's just pretend money on a marketing website. Look at it from the employees point of view. If two submissions were the exact same, what would you think? Especially if yours was the second entry submitted.
You know how long I've been doing these sites and I've met many people (both known and unknown) who found ways to get those little points to add up. I reiterate; in the eyes of the employees, you are no different than members who sign up once and never log in again. On the internet, no one can know the true personality of another since we all are anonymous.

that is weird I put my entry 2 minutes ago I really don't want to wait so long for my year book just for an extra 1000 ryo

Speaking as someone who's in infromation technology we aren't nearly as anonymous as we like to think we are. Having been an administor on messages boards before I know most admin can see the users IP address.
Now I don't know for sure that the Hokage can see our Ip address or not but if he could then one look would show that Santa500 and I aren't the same person.

i accedently summitted a wrong mission pic and then wrote a firm but polite letter letting the hokage know and he let me retake it. just do that.

Then as an IT student, you must know what a proxy is; hence the great anonymity of the internet. In the end, the people who know more about how computers and the net works are the ones that would be more capable of taking advantage of the system.

True I guess, thought why anyone would bother being so elaberate with a secondary account to waste the time to go that far (plus do all that other stuff that Santa500 has done) is beyond me.
Like I said my message was pretty generic Naruto so anybody else could have easily come up with something pretty similar. (We don't know if it was exactly word for word, OR who submitted the mission first)

I would see people trying to copy a photo for a mission. Which shouldn't happen, but why a mission like this when it is very easy to do on your own?

I think everyone here just needs to chill out. I mean posting negitive comments is not going to get us anywhere and we may not know what the hokage was thinking but one thing is for sure, his intentions were good^.^ The hokage is a reasonable and fair person if you simply explain the situation like Alainmanga said then I am sure he will let you redo the mission. I can understand what everyone is trying to say but still do we all have to express ourselfs in a way where others won't get hurt or offended^.^
