Sorry guys, but as you probally already know the news story I posted yesterday in my blog was a fake, even thought many of you bought it hook line and sinker until Tiger gave it away.

Now normally you can trust me to report the truth but yesterday was april first so you really sould have seen that coming a mile away, I even put in a few things like the Pikachu sticking it's toung out picture in order to subtly clue you in.

I wouldn't normally pull a april fools prank but I thought it would be the most effective way to teach you that a ninja should always look underneath the underneath and be aware of the situation.

Now you'll know never to belive anything you see and hear on the interet on April first. Just ignore any news you hear that day since 99% of the time it's fake and on the off 1% chance that it's true you'll find out for sure the next day.

Always take things you see with a slight grain of salt. Following along with something blindly isn't a good thing since if you aren't using your head it'll be easier for somebody to trick you like I did.

Remember Information is power, and being able to fake that infromation and make people belive it is a very powerful thing indeed, a very dangerious thing that you need to be aware of and on guard for since it's all around you ever single day on televsion, phone calls, e-mails and more.

I can't keep track of how many e-mails I get for people trying to trick me into thinking I've won money and all they need is my name and address to give it to me. That sort of stuff is just a scam, they want my info so that they can steal my identiy and make money using it.

Their are a lot of preditors out their and my aim to to protect you from them by helping you become more street smart!

I myself don't like April fools much ever since the day I came home from school back in like grade 2 or 3 or something and found a message on the machine from Luigi saying that I had won a Super Nes, a game system I wanted quite badly at the time.

Now being just a young kid I didn't know anybetter and belived it 100% only for it to turn out to be a prank by my dad who had managed to fake a pretty good Italian accent.  Needless to say I was devistated and he got quite a scolding from my mom.

I wouldn't go on to get an nes until years later once the N64 had already came out so I missed out on most of that systems best games until years later where I could finally play some like Super metroid thaks to the virtual consol

In my life

I just got back from a chicken wing eating contest where I won second place. Who ever said that you can't get a free lunch is wrong since I didn't pay a dime and I ate fairly well.

The only price? Embarasing myself slighty since you had to go on stage and dance solider boy in order to get one of the seats at the table and I don't know that song or dance at all. Luckily I got picked for having the worst soldier boy dance xd.

The prize? 20 free wings from the people sponsering the event. And since I had leftoever wings from the contest, I effectively got tonigths dinner and another nights dinner for free as well just by particapating.

The best part is I got a free breakfist as well and a $20 gift card to Tim hortons today just by going to a short 1 hour focus group on campus this morning. So as you can see I've been quite well feed today!

So you see folks this is how being aware of the sitation can be to your advantage. By simply keeping my ear to the ground and keeping track of events around campus unlike most students who can't be bothered I managed to score lots of free eats.

It's not the first time nor the last that simply paying attention to the situation has broguht me free food! You can be sure I'll be getting more free grub in my second year as well since I never miss a chance to fill my stomace.
