Still no replacement disk

Be sure to check on sunday for an extra super special interview, probally the most special one this blog will ever contain (unless I somehow manage to track down the guys who make the Ultimate ninja games, but you know I don't have the connections to do that xD) 

Today's topic

I finally got an e-mail back from Bandai's anime division customer service that said my replacement disk shipped last week and I should get it this week. Well guess what, it's friday and it's STILL not in my mailbox *ing me off even more.

It was reading week this week which means I didn't have school and have been posting from home instead of at residence at my collage. Pretty much all of my mail goes to my real home to be on the safe side and be faster since rez mail usually gets delayed by being routed through the school and has a higher chance of going missing.

This means I normally only get to see my mail on weekends so I'll have to wait until next friday or so to see if I get the disk in next week or not. *sigh* It better darn well be here or I am going to go postal on their butts, and if their ends up being a problem with Final Plus I'm just going to boycot their dvds for a good long while until they fricken straten things up on the production side.

Speaking of Bandai anime.... where the frick is the earlier gundam shows? I still have yet to see either Double Zeta or Victory, and even X would be really nice to have going by the fansubs I've seen of it so far.

Seed and OO are nice and all, but don't ignore the classics either. Besides it'd be nice to have a complete gundam anime collection under my bed xd.

Right now the only one's I'm missing that have been released in north america are Wing and G gundam. The first becuse I don't really care for wing much and the later becuse I'm nearly broke at the moment and need to priotize my money for more important matters.

Oh and well you're at it, when it comes time to bring out OO in north america, bring it straight to box set Naruto style. 13 episodes for $60 mrsp which means i'd be able to buy it online for $40 including shipping. At least then I'd actually be able to afford them as they come out rather then waiting a few years for em since Singles are far too expensive in the long run.

Seriosuly it cost me at least $240 for Destiny as singles (more actually since I bought the special versions of disk 1 and 7)  where if they had been Naruto style box sets it would have only cost me $160 in the long run.  That's a difference of $80 or an entire two other boxsets!!!!

Today's card of the day features Sasmus1212, the man who got the Gaara skateboard  from Hokage's Room V1 (this round would be V2). A wonder if he's going for a repeat to add yet another Naruto board to his home xd.

YES!

Why the short title for today's entery? Well I just got 2 job interviews lined up for myself for my summer co-op. If either one of those goes well then I will be SET for the summer. No more job seaching required, I can just sit back and consentrate on doing well in my classes.

I have to say their is almost nothing like doing well in school that does a better job at boosting your self confidence. I mean I barely managed to drag my butt throught high school and barely finished by the skin of my teath for the most part.

But that wasn't becuse I couldn't do it, my teachers always said I was smarth I just didn't apply myself. Nope highschool was boring and I just didn't care since at the time it didn't directly corrolate to my sucess. I mean going to class didn't bring me money and it didn't really matter one way or the next what happened so why should I care... or at least that was my attitue at the time.

But you know, when you have a few thousand dollars on the line that you worked your butt off to get (Blood,sweat and tears and all that) and you really want to pass so that you can get a REAL job instead of working at Mcdonalds and Tim hortons all your life...well it makes a huge difference in your life and I've gone from a almost flunk out when I was yonger to being an honor student.

I just hope that my which ever co-op job I land goes as well as school has been going for me. With any luck I'll raise enough money to pay for next years tuition and residence and even have a little spending money left over so I don't go totally crazy.

Today's card is for my friend Tora, I think it's pretty approate becuse she's a big Temari fan. Jeeze Tora how the heck did you manage to get over 5000 posts? Heck how does anybody get that many posts? The message board dosn't seem THAT busy to me xD.

Solid Cool

Oh the irony. On the same day I go to the bank to ask about a replacement for my credit card that I thought expires at the end of the month (It turns out 03/08 means the end of march not the start) , my replacement comes in the mail.  Oh well that's another load off my back since now I can preorder stuff again with out fear.

Speaking of preordering I was *ed off when I went to ebgames and they didn't have Metal gear solid: The essential collection in their database for preorder yet. Come on guys, the game is coming out in less then a month I should be able to put my money down now to garenty a copy of it.

If you haven't played Metal gear solid before you have no excuse not to now. The Essential collection has All 3 games for $30. And the best part is that they are the directors cut versions which means Metal gear solid 3 has Metal gear 1 and 2 for it. 5 games for $30. That's like $6 a game you just can't beat value like that.

The only way it could possibly be better is if it included the VR mission disk for Ps1 as well but hey you can buy that on ebay for like $10 so it's no big deal.

Today I picked up Twin snakes for gamecube to give the series a try since I haven't played any since back around when the first Metal gear solid came out on Ps1 and I was too young to understand the stealth concept enough to enjoy it.

On another note I'm still very very *ed off at Bandai since their customer service still has yet to reply to an e-mail I sent them on monday and I STILL don't have my replacement disk. If they want to keep me as a customer they better darn well hurry it up already.

Today's Hr trading card features Ivan one of the more prolific posters on the boards. He's a pretty cool guy so he deserves a pretty cool card Xd

Yah I know that I don't usually post in my blog twice in one day but today something special happened that more then deserves it's very own post.

My friends TigerC10 and Kiraoni have teamed up and given me the best present EVER!! My very own Hokage's room trading card 100 million times more badass and cool then anything I could possibly hope to make.

Thank you Tiger and Kira you two are the absoulte best ever! *glomps*

Gundarn it!

You know another thing Bandai has annoyed me with lately? How it's messed up with Gundam Seed Destiny dvds. At least twice so far I've had to send away for replacement disks becuse they screwed up huge batchs of em during manufacturing.

The worst part is one of the ones I've had to send away is the last volume which I sent on the weekend of January 17th, the first weekend you could send it in and I STILL haven't gotten my replacement disk yet.

Urg I just want to finish this series up already and put it away into my collection and get it over with already. Heck I still need to get Final Plus in April but now I'm reluctant to preorder it since the last thing  I want to do is having to send away for a replacement of that too if something goes wrong again.

Today's feature is the last but certiantly not least moderator Ryne11. I'm particularly proud of his card since I went for a humours angle with i and it came out great! Thanks for your hard work Ryne11!

By the way, just becuse I'm making Hokage room trading cards dosn't mean other people can't make em. If you want to make your own go for it. It's not like I have an exclusive liscence to them or anything after all.

Hey Namco-Bandai Where's my Tales of games?

In the latest survay it askes why or why not you are satisfied with Namco Bandai. And you know while I am mostly satisfied with them I can't help but asking one thing. Where the frick are the Tales of games?

Seriously Tales of Innocence came out in Japan this fall on Ds and we have yet to hear if it's going to be released in north america and yet we already know we're getting Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for Wii and Tales of Vesperia for Xbox360 nither of which are even out yet anywhere.

Right now we're in an rpg dryzone for the DS. It hasn't had a really big one since Pokemon dimond and pearl (Strategy rpgs like Reveant wings are a different genra and thus don't count).  strike now while the iron is hot, it has no competition and would sell well.

Plus where are the psp tales? Tales of Destiny remake, Tales of Rebirth, the REAL Tales of Destiny 2. Seriouly 2 of those games have never been to north america in any form and they feature some of the best battle systems in the entier series.

Even I'D bye a psp just to play those games. (I had to borrow a friends in order to play Ultimate Ninja hero's) So that's saying something.

How does the saying go...If you build it they will come. Thus if you bring the games over people will buy em xD.

Anyhow I don't mind that they skipped Tales of the Tempest since I hear that game is really really bad and I don't want Tales games to get a bad name over here but if they skip Innocence I'm going to be very very *ed as I've been reved up to play it ever since I saw the Japanse trailer.

In this day and age with the Internet their is no excuse for this BS tactic of not bringing game over here. 10 years ago maybe becuse we wouldn't know the games existed but now we do. You can't hide the truth from us. Plus it's been proven even the strangest games that people thought wouldn't sell over here WILL.

Look at pokemon. People thought "oh those north american's will never get it" and it almost didn't get brought over here and look how that turned out. It sold like hotcakes.

Even old games that used to be import only are doing well on the Virtual Consol like Sin and Punishment. There is a market for all those games out their, you just have to tap into it.

Now onto another subject!

Todays Hokage Room Trading card takes a brief break from the Moderators to bring you...Midori the Shining Nova. Hey I'm the One making them so I get to decide the numbers so I get lucky number #7 to myself. As TigerC10 will tell you I am pretty lucky after all xD.

Interview with someone special 1

In order to discover just what or who exactly is the Ultimate ninja, I Midori have started a quest to uncover the answer by doing a weekly interview of one of the top members of the Hokage’s Room, the closest people to the source of this mystery. I may have to dig underneath the underneath and dodge a kunai and shuriken or two but somehow one truth must prevail.

 

To start off with, I've arranged to speak with one of Hokage room's finest and a shining example of justice to all. Let's give a round of appluse for Kiraoni aka Orosan.

 

(Note: For the interview my questions  and words are in bold while Kira's are normal)

 

1. What exactly is it that you think earned you a spot as a featured Ninja?

Um... being active and helping people?

2. Please describe your favorite mission you’d done, and what you did for it

Probably the recent sending out links one. I told all my friends about the videos, I made movies advertising them and showed my friends them, and I even
made a mini-game dedicated to hr- Linking here!

3. Out of all the games that the Hokage’s room features, which one is your favorite and why?

Ahh... Probably Ultimate Ninja 3. I loved UN:2, and I've heard only great things about UN3, and I'm totally getting it!

 4. Which aspect of the Hokage’s room do you enjoy most?

Aspect? Like, part? ...Forums and RPing! Woo! (Love ya all at A New Ninja)

5. What do you think of your HR trading card? If you have one already what would you do differently with it? And if you don’t how would you like your’s done?

Hmm... I think the cards awe-some! What I'd do differently... I'd put glitter
all over it and shimmery lights XD

6. What do you think makes for the Ultimate Ninja?

Putting all of your best effort into everything you do, thinking before you act, being as helpful as possible... oh, and try to be nice if you want to be the ultimate ninja. The fourth Hokage was known as one of the Ultimate Ninjas, and I don't think he was mean, soooo... o_o;

7. Anything you’d like to say to your fans before we close?

Er... Remember to eat your veggies and go to school and... FORGET THAT. Have as much fun as possible and stay up late drinking soda and NEVER listen to your
parents. I mean- YAY HOKAGESROOM. -runs-

Something special in the air

The clock is ticking and soon very soon a new special feature will debute in this blog tommorow. If you though my Hokage Room trading cards were cool they where only the start in my quest to discover just what is the ultimate ninja.

And to top it off I'll even have pictures of the latest Shonen Jump's Naruto cover PLUS an add for Ultimate Ninja 3. It dosn't get much better then this fokes.

Now for my trading cards I've actually gone ahead and done up all the ones for reading week becuse I'm going to be pretty busy catching up on stuff like my backlog of video games so I was wondering if I could get some imput for you guys.

Next weeks batch includes the likes of Ivan, Samus1212, Tora, Shikmarupunk28, Ryne11 and myself (not in that particular order).

Combine that with the already debuted cards of The Hokage, Kiraoni, TigerC10, Disturbedpuppy, Cloud1991 and Daikon and that's already 12 cards not even counting the first clan card that I've done up as well.

So I want to know guys, Who do you think I should make a cards out of next? Number #25 has been reserved by Kibathebeast but #13-24 are still up for grabs so place your orders now as it where.

In any case today we celebrate our 4th mod, Daikon! His name is from Japan        (??),  and litearlly means "large root". A Daikon is a mild-falavored East Asian giant white radish so you can see where I got the insperation to make his card from.

It's a little on the simple side, but you'd be suprised how hard it was to find a good picture of a Daikon and I thought the one I'd dug up would fit since it was cute xd.

Daikon I salute you and your Radical abilties! Keep up the great work

Midterms are over

Finally after a really hectic test my Mid-terms are over and I get to go on reading week xD. I have to say that it was absoutely stupid of them to try and squeeze the entire hardware course into 6 weeks. (Ok it should have been 7 but we had a snow day on one of em)

Seriously with only session a week their is no way that you have enough time for what they are trying to teach you to sink in. Hardware is complicated stuff and if you're a noob like I was when the class started then you're going to have trouble staying afloat let alone do well.

Thank goodness the teacher gave us perfect on labs 1-8 even thought some of us didn't get some of them done like lab 6. If he does that for lab 9 and 10 which we tried and failed to do then I might at least get a B in this course so it won't bring my gpa down too much but it sucks that I could lose my perfect gpa becuse of things beyond my own control.

Oh well with no classes and nothing to study for I think I'm just going to kick back this week and try and catch up on some stuff like my video game backlog and reading some manga.

Speaking of Mid terms being over I've cooked up a special feature to celebrate sucessfully finishing half of this symester which will debute on Sunday in place of having a Hokage's Room trading card for that day.

While we're on the subject of the HR Trading cards, Today's feature is Cloud1991. If I could I'd probally give him a lolipop to go along with the card (you'll see why in a sec) as a thanks for all of his hard work and dedication as a mod.

How to get your Own HR Trading Card!

Alright so people have been asking me, "Yo how to I get my very own Hokage's Room trading card". The answer is actually pretty simple as you're about to find out.

Being in my friends list helps but isn't a requirement. To get a card you simply have to do one thing. Be an active and plesent memeber of the community.

You could have all the Ryo in the world like SHIKAMARU but I'd still wouldn't make a card for you becuse quite planly you don't make the effort to be part of the greater sight as a whole. 

It's fine to just sit back and do missions I guess, but in order to be a really great ninja you need to get out their and interact with everybody on the fourms and post nice comments on other peoples pictures and blogs.

What do the existing cards all have in common? The Hokage, KiraOni, TigerC10 and DisturbedPuppy are all some of the very best people that the Hokage's Room has to offer. To be included amoung their ranks you'll have to earn the spot.

Speaking of DisturbedPuppy today is the debute of a trading card in his honor! I hope you like it DP! Your the man now dog xD
