Day 2
Waking up in the morning I couldn't help but grin as I gazed at the brand new forhead protector that was resting on the table stand beside my bed. Seeing it, I new that what had transpired yesterday wasn't a dream after all. I really had become a ninja after all.
Getting up I dressed quicky and slipped my forhead protector on over the traditonal spot unlike the other girls who had graduated and prefered to wear it around their waste as a belt or around their neck or some other spot I wanted to leave mine in a promonint position so that I could proudlydisplay to one and all my newfound statis as a gennin.
Sneaking downstairs I thanked budda, god and any other diety I could think of that my grandfather wasn't up yet. The last thing I wanted to hear from him was another lecture about how I should give up on being a ninja and focus more on finding a nice boy to marry, not after what happened last night when I gave him the news of my graduation.
Deciding to err on the side of caution I headed straight for the door figureing that I could always pick up breakfest on the way to the acadamy. Spotting my older cusion Azran leaning against the wall on the way out I gave him a way.
"So I guess this is it then, you won't need me to be your guardian for much longer now." He spoke softly and with a faint hint of sadness. He had been watching over me for years now, protecting me against themany assaination attempts that had been made simply becuse of the fact that I was first in line to take over the clan.
"I guess so, after all I'm a ninja now so I'll be able to take care of myself." I replied. "But don't worry too much, after all I still have a lot to learn and who better to teach me then the thunder of Kohana himself?" I asked causing his usually stonic face to break into a smile.
"Well Someone should teach you the ways of our bloodline becuse grandfather certiantly won't." replied Azran snidly as the brief moment of sunnyness on his face quickly faded away. For some reason I didn't understand he just never seemed to be happy for very long, and only seemed to smile for me and even that was rare.
Reaching into his black jacket Azran took out a slip of paper and handed it to me. "I got the information you asked for but I'm not too sure how useful it'll be considering you're going to find out who your teacher is anyhow in just a short while." he said in a board tone of voice.
"Thanks, you never know when something like this could come in handy." I replied as I tucked the list of Jounins who were taking studants this year away into the sleave of my kimmon to keep it out of the way until I could safely prouse once I went to class for the last time.
Turning to leave I was suprised when Azran put his hand on my shoulder to stop me. "Wait just a second, I have something for you." he said as he pulled a long object wrapped into cloth from behind his back and pressed it into my hands.
My eyes widened as I unwrapped the cloth to reveal a brand new Katana made of the finiest quailty of steel available. This was not the sort of weapon the average gennin would own and even on a jounin's salary it would be considered somewhat expensive.
While the Sakuraba clan is considerably wealthly I knew that Grandfather didn't favor Azran much at all and wouldn't possible give him the money to buy since a fine gift for me.
"Are you sure it's ok... I mean." I started to say before Azran cut me off by favoring me with one of the widest smiles I had ever seen from him.
"If it wasn't Ok I wouldn't have given it to you now would I?" he said. "You are now a shinobi like myself and like your father before you. Go out and make us proud." He said simply.
No words where needed to answer as I gave him an affrimative nod of my head while strapping the brand new Katana complete with sheath onto my back before waving good bye and heading off towards the acadamy.
When I arrived I stood by the door for a few seconds quitely taking stock of my fellow graduates who had arrived before me. "There's only 12 of us, just enough for 4 teams in total." I thought as I took my customary seat beside my best friend Sora.
"I hope we're on the same team together." I said as I leaned back on the chair and pulled out the sheet of paper Azran had given me only to frown when I noticed that only 3 names where on it. "Something isn't right, the numbers don't add up." I thought in puzzlement.
Sora smiled at me. "Yes, it would be nice to be on the same team with you. I wouldn't be suprised if we we're considering they like to stick studants who mesh well already together." she said as she noticed the Katana on my back. "Wow Katina where'd you managed to pick that up?" She asked causing me to grin.
"My cousin Azran gave it to me as a graduation precent." I bragged slightly knowing that Azran's reputation as one of the strongest ninja in th entire village after Catori would proceed him.
"You mean the Thunder of Kohana himself gave you that? You sure are lucky to have such a strong cousin." Sora replied to which I nodded.
"Yes.. yes I am aren't I" I said as I idoily glanced around at the other studants wondering who would be best as a pontential third memeber of a team that I was already forming in my head.
Their where so many good gennin to chose from such as Akane from the Inzuka clan who was great at tracking or Shin who was great with ninjutus.
But before I could fantazie about potential teams too deeply our teacher came in and took attendence. Once he was done he began reading off names. The first two teams were formed quickly and soon
Akane and Shin had both been given to Team 1 and 2 respectfully. I crossed my fingers praying against hope that I would be paired with Sora.
"Team 3... Midori, Kori and Gazkull" said the Teacher casuing my Jaw to drop in disblief. Kori I could understand being paired with since he was from the Aburame clan and well suited to information gathering and other such stealth like missions while still being able to hold his own in straight combat.
Gazkull on the other hand...had the absoulet worst grades in the class in everything but Taijutsu. He was a classic example of what is now know as Rock lee syndrom which is when someone is born with underdeveloped chakra coils and can not preform Ninjutus and genjutsu to save their life.
While not a bad choice in and off himself he would be better suited to a heavy combat unit rather then an all around group which would have suited my role a Sharigan user the best.
Sora looked at me simpathically for getting stuck with a couple of boys as she gathered her team up and went to meet her new sensai. In a few minutes the classroom had cleared out leaving only my new team behind with our old acadamy teacher.
"Don't tell me you're our insturctor." groaned Gazkull. The teacher raised an eyebrow as if to say why that would be such a problem but I cut him off.
"Not offense but you haven't done any field work in years." I said causing him to laugh.
"True enough, You'll be able to meet your teacher at Training field 42 tommorow. I think it'll be a plesent suprise for you. She told me to tell you just to be sure not to eat anything before you meet her otherwise you might throw up during your training exersie." he said before dismissing us and leaving the room.
Kori sat in a corner staring at us and being quite as was usual for him. He'd never been a very social person in the adcadamy in all the years I'd know him.
Gazkull however was jumping down extactically. He seemed to positvely be bursting with energy causing me to wonder if maybe what he lacked in grades could be made up for in hard work.
"I wonder who our sensai will be." exclaimed Gazkull causing me to grin. "It's it obvious? Our teacher gave us one big clue. We know her gender already." I said.
"So what does her gender have to do with anything?" asked Gazkull in puzzlement. I quickly produced the slip of paper Azran had given me.
"If my cousin himself couldn't get ahold of the 4th name then that itself is another clue. After all sometimes it's the information that's not given that more important that what is. The only person who could conceal such information is the Hokage herself." I said.
Even the usually quite Kori bolted from his seat. "The Hokage....are you sure about this?" He asked his voice barely above a whisper. I nodded an affrimitve.
"The only other female ninja who's high enough ranked at the moment would be her second in comman Saria and she's already got a class." replied.
Making a fist Gazkull stood up on his desk. "Yosh, I've got to tell everyone about this important development."
In an instant Kori was beside Gazkul as he put a hand on his shoulder to hold him back. "...that would not be wise." he said blandly.
"He's right, we're not supposited to know yet. If they find out they'll start to ask questions and it could compromise my source." I explained.
"Oh" replid a now sollen Gazkull.
"Instead we should try and do something to impress her. Going by what we learned in history class she's probally going to want to test us somehow. Well since we know where she's testing us their's no reason we can't go in and put some traps up tonight to make the test a bit easier." I said.
"Isn't that cheating?" asked Gazkull causing Kori to glance at him like he was stupid. Almost as if to say that we were ninja, and ninja aren't supposted to play fair.
"It's only cheating if your bad enough to get caught. The only problem is that she has the Byakugan so it won't be easy to slip anything past her. Most conventioanl tricks won't work so we should go to
the libary and see if we can dig something up." I said.Kori snorted. "It's pointless, she's a kage she'll see any traps you set coming a mile away." He said.
"Maybe...maybe not but it probally wouldn't hurt to try." I said stubbronly. Kori shurgged as if you say fine waste your time then and before I could stop him his form disolved into a pile of bugs and vanished as he used a replacment jutus to get away.
"Oh who needs him anyway. Come on Gazkull we've got some studying to do." I said as I grabbed his arm and dragged him with me to the libary. A few hours of pouring thought books later and so far we had come up
with nothing substaintal."Maybe Kori was right, we're just wasting time. I should have known we woudlnt' find anthing on such a senstive matter at our rank" I muttered as I moved deeper towards a rarely used section of selves that where covered in a thick
layer of dust. "Man dosn't somebody clean this place why is it so dirty." I said well making a disgusted face.At the back of my mind something about the dust bothered me. It being their just didn't seem right somehow and then it hit me. I knew that Cleaning the libary was consdered a D rank mission, one of the ones that gennin preform regularly. Their was no way in * that they would be able to miss such a big area and get away with it.
Closing my eyes I consentrated sending a small shurge of chakra towards them. When I opened them a moment later revealing that my right eye had gained 1 tomeo. It wasn't much but I had started to awaken my bloodline the last
time someone had tried to assainate me only about a week ago. With practice it wouldn't be long before I developed at least two tomeo in both eyes.At the moment thought it wasn't quite enough to copy any jutsu but it did allow me to see chakra that the normal naked eye wouldn't detected. Seeing the shelf thought a new prespective I was startled to see that it was sparkling clean to my
right eye even while it still looked filthly from my left."It's a genjutusu." I hissed as I realized that it was probally to discourage people from looking at the books on that particual shelf too closely. Gazing over the books I frowned as none of them seemd to have titles of any real signifgances. "Why would anyone bother to hide these?" I thought as I spotted one book about advance taijutsu forms that I grabbed to
give to Gazkull to read.Looking over the titles on the shelf one last time I was about ready to call it a day when a scroll sticking part way out caught my eye. Pulling it out I read the lable written in old kanji on the side and let out a low wistle. "The art of fire by the 50th Hokage"
Something like that was just too good to pass up. I'd been working on developing some jutus of my own and this scroll could just
be the ticket I needed to help me along the way.Closing my eyes I shut down the quite trickle of chakra that was running to them turning my Sharigan off to conserve energy as I cracked open the scroll and began to read a secontion that was about fireworks. My eyes widened as suddenly I was hit with an idea.
Rolling the scroll back together I slipped it convertly into my Kimmono then shoved the Taijutus book into Gazkulls hands before grabbing him by the arm and leading him away.
"Hey wait we're are we going?" he asked. I looked back over my shoulder and grinned at him.
"Don't worry I have a plan." I said as we headed towards the nearest weapons store. Little did I know how fatefull that plan would end up being.

Just to let you guys know , I'm still working on the rp so don't worry they'll be lot's more coming. It's just a bit slow since work has been stressing me out alot, even to the point I've been a bit sick like today.
It dosn't help that the darn air conditioning dosn't work well making it warn even on a cool day in the store.
It's easy to post on the forms and stuff while I'm resting but writing takes a lot of mental energy which I don't always have after work..
I know the rp is diary style but it's just impossible for me to actually do it on a daily base, but I promise to do my best to release updates at a resonable rate.
At any rate I'm aiming to have the second chapter done for today or tommorow at the latest and a second character profile done for the week at the very least.
Thanks for your patience and understanding xd!

Personality: Taking after her parents, Midori is an extremely strong willed individual with a heart of gold and a determination of steel on the inside but she also is a little bit shy and can have a hard time speaking about her inner feelings even to her friends. Thought she tends to put on a bit of a rough exterior to try to seem tough and unwavering the truth is that it is just so that she can hide her own discomfort or fear. Despite this facade, she almost always seems to carry an air of nobility about her that seems to help draw out the capabilities of others along with her winning smile and sincere words.

History: The heir to a clan of ninja dating back over a couple centuries, it was only natural for Midori to want to become a ninja herself. She begain idolizing the 72nd Hokage around the time Catori was crowned the strongest kunochi on the contenen.

Authors Notes: The heroin of the story, she was my character in the role playing game Shourai Chronicals that this story is being based upon. She was pretty much the strongest naturally raised female character in the game by the time it ended as the only other stronger female characters where given inflated stats to start out as a kage or the kage's second in command. Her themes is to never give up!

For those of you who might be reading this and not know me, my name is Midori and I was named such becuse of the colour of my eyes which are light green. Incase anything happens to me I have recorded this Dairy so that others may read and reflect on my mistakes and learn from them
Day 1
I felt so nervious today as my name was called and I stood up from my seat and stepped forward to take my exan. A lump formed in my throat as I realized that it was all or nothing. How I preformed now, if I passed or failed would determine my future.
If I did good I would graduate the acadamy and take my first true step towards becoming a legendary ninja like the venrable Catori-sama, prehaps the greatest Hokage how had lived with the sole and noteable exception of the 6th. He was a man who had been a ninja amoung ninja, a man that the word legendary isn't nearly enough to describe. A person who's name I am not worthy to utter or write.
But if I failed...if I failed my dream would be doomed. My grandfather who is head of the Sakuraba clan ( an offshot of the Uchiha clan that had desended from Itachi) would simply force me into an arranged marriage like he had wanted from the start.
In his mind, becuse I am the next heir of the clan I should be busy prepairing to take it over, not learning to become a ninja so that I could put my life on the line and endanger the future of the clan. But somedays I wonder if I had a been born a boy... would Grandfarther still disaprove of my dream to become a ninja then?
But it was no longer time for Idol thoughts as my teacher cleared his throat brining my attention back to the moment and the test I was supposted to be taking. Caught slightly off guard becuse of my daydreaming I blushed but quickly recovered. Worrying about an uncertiant future would get me nowhere.
The only thing left to do was try my best and put my heart into it. As long as I did that someone I felt that everything would be ok. Quickly I moved my hands into a simple basic seal, one that I had preformed countless times in the past. Molding my chakra was a simple matter for me, I was by far better at it then any of the boys in the class and even most of the girls with the exception of my best friend Sora who was a prodogy even amoung the members of the Hyuga clan.
My stamina on the other hand was another story but it wouldn't matter with the skill I was trying to preform. It was so simple, so basic that even I could cast it dozens of times in a row and not have to worry about running out of steam.
"Bushin no Jutsu" I cried generating a quick puff of smoke that quickly fell away to reveal a gray haird young woman with opaque pupialess eyes who was a picture perfect example of the 72nd Hokage.
I held my breath as a I counted down an agonizing five seconds before releasing the jutsu as I had been instructed. Cold sweet ran down my brow as I awaited my instructor to deliver my fate.
"Studant 105 Sakuraba Midori, that was the most convincing Bushin I have seen all day. Some of you slackers should have spent a bit more time studying like her." said the teacher causing me to flush from his praise. I breathed a sigh of releaf knowing that I had passed and held out my hand for my reward.
The teacher smiled down at me and then pressed a small metalic object into my hands. "Congulation's Midori, It seems like you're going to make for one fine Gennin so do us and the village proud." he said.
I nodded solemly as I took the hiaite he had given me and tied it tightly around my forhead proudly displaying to one and I that I was consiered a grown up now, a ninja just like I had always dreamed of being.
"I'll do my best, after all that's my way of the Ninja." I said with a huge grin as I went to stand with the other newly appointed Genin and watch the rest of the tests go by. RTheir was still over 12 more stutats to go and I wanted to see how they did in, after all it never hurt to know more about a potental future allie or a a potental future enemy once the Chunnin exams rolled around.
Patting my forhead I grinned, tommorow I knew I would find out just who else would be on my team. "I hope I get some good ones." I muttered to myself as the class drew to an end.
