Blogosaurus Rex “King of the Blogosaurs…?"
What's my blog about? A deep question I suppose? What are blogs but the random musings of one’s mind? I suppose then that this blog is about nothing… or everything... maybe even both... but inevitably it will probably be about food... mmm... food.

Episode LV: The Filler Strikes Back
Apr 4, 2008
So it seems that after 54 episodes, Naruto Shippuuden is starting a filler arc... might be bad, might be good, don't really know until more details are revealed. From the article on Leaf Ninja, it seems a possibility that the filler material might focus on the other Jinchuuriki that didn't appear in the manga. I just wish we could get Shippuuden here... though it looks like it might be December before that happens, assuming that the rate of two episodes per week is maintained.by | 0 comments | -
It's Here! It's Here!
Mar 28, 2008
I got the game! I imagine that so many other people will be writing/are writing/have already written blog entries on this topic, but this one is mine... I've managed to put in about 8 hours but still have so very much to do. I'm writing this from work (we have nothing to do for the next 3-4 hours) which is so much worse than having actual work to do because now all I can do is sit around and wait until I can go home and play the game again... Is it time yet?by | 0 comments | -
Mission Accomplished...?
Mar 25, 2008
I've finally caught up on my manga reading. I just finished vol. 28 of Naruto and am rather frustrated that I'll have to wait til May to read vol. 29. Though I know what is happening currently in the series, having the spoilers (a brief summary) is no substitute for an entire chapter. I guess to tide me over, I'll just have to read the series again from the beginning...

Ragnarok Draws Near? The Anime Filler Begins
Mar 18, 2008
So we’ve just recently started the anime filler. A lot of people who had already seen some of the filler episodes felt that they were outright terrible, but I have to admit that I rather enjoy them. They may not be officially “cannon”, but they do have a certain charm to them. They might not be as great as the stories that Kishimoto writes, but they will hold me over until we get Shippuuden in December (if what I’ve read is correct). What do you think of the filler episodes so far?

Seriously? A Tadpole!
Mar 15, 2008
As I said in my last post I've been watching anime for quite some time now, but have only recently become interested in manga. So, the other day I was reading the 12th volume of Naruto and noticed the second character popularity poll. It looked pretty normal up until 23rd place. In 23rd place, was a tadpole. Popular characters like Shino, Choji, Itachi, Orochimaru and others lost to the tadpole that Naruto summoned while training with Jiraiya. I realize that at this point these characters had not become as fleshed out as they are now, but to lose to a tadpole that appeared once, let alone had absolutely no character development whatsoever. That’s just embarrassing!

First Entry
Mar 13, 2008
I figured that I've been here long enough that I should actually start writing something in this space. So, I guess I talk, or write rather, a little about myself. I've been a fan of Naruto for quite some time now. The anime was what first caught my attention. Now, Naruto is not the first anime that I became obsessed with. The first series I remember would have to be Dragon Ball Z, which was really getting attention here in the states about the time I was in middle school. Around the same time I stated watching others series like: Rurouni Kenshin, and Yu Yu Hakusho. For most of my high school years I would watch anime (when I could find it) as really the only place you could see it on television at the time was Toonami. I also started watching Inuyasha somewhere about this time. But it was not until I got to college a few years back that I really became obsessed with anime (though I sure that obsessed is a relative term compared to the devotion of other people). Currently my favorite series are Naruto and Bleach and they have actually got me interested in reading manga. Which somehow seems backwards to me, but I suppose that many people about my age saw the anime series long before the manga growing up (especially now that I think about it, most of the good “American” cartoons of the time were actually imported from Japan and dubbed into English, though I suppose one doesn’t really think of such things as a kid…). Was it the same for many of you? Were you introduced to anime before manga? While I really enjoy the anime, I realize now that seeing it without reading the manga is the approximate equivalent to writing a book report when one has only seen the movie.

I'm an Undergrad majoring in Classical and Medieval History. By the way, the above quotation translates approximately to "If you desire peace, prepare for war", if you're interested. I'm almost finished with my degree, as I have just two classes left. It is so much harder being a part-time student than a full-time student... as I'm having difficulties staying motivated. (Previously I had been far too busy to not stay motivated...)
Interests
Interests? I have lots of interests... I guess I should actually write them down... I like camping, and fishing... good times... If you can't tell I am an ellipsis enthuasist... who tends to over-capitalize. I enjoy hockey, though I don't usually keep up on it, mainly because my team (the St. Louis Blues) has been doing terrible... I also like strategy board games such as: Risk, ...
