Team Mates

Nagano: He was the first person she shared her personal life story to, along with Ruka. He also introduced his young brother, Kyuto to her to make her increase her inner strength and gain another friend.

Kyuto: He's her long time friend (and crush) who shares the same interest as her. They later become boyfriend and girlfriend; they never show their affection for each other in battle.

Ruka: Ruka is Team 25's sensei. Often like a older sister/mother figure to Kurenai; also a major flirt dealing with men.

About Kurenai

Name: Kurenai (Kuro is just a nickname and it means dark)

Age: 15

Rank: Chunin

Skill: Taijitsu and her alter dark ego powers

Her father died right after she was born because Orochimaru killed him during a mission. She's always lived with her mother, until the age of 9. Her mother died of an illness just after Kurenai was posessed by the Oni of darkness, which gave her an alter ego. Ever since then, Kurenai's been a loner because she blames herself for her mother's death and she doesn't want her loved ones to die. The only friends and people she would ever talk to was her sensei: Ruka, and her two teammates, Nagano and Kyuto. After that time, Kurenai entered the Chunin Exams, but failed on purpose so she could stay with Kyuto, who missed the Chunin Exams. She believed that staying with her friend was best.

Now, she and Kyuto are now ranked Chunin, and they are also dating from their long-time crush on each other. They are both on team 25 with their sensei: Ruka and Kyuto's brother, Nagano.
