Hokage's Room

Back for the first time...it's Kuchiyose! j/k.  So our lovely Hokage has been giving us some fun blogging missions lately and I must say, u guys are made for this.  The blogs for UNS were REALLY good.  I'm ashamed of mine now  lol.  Now for the task at hand.

... WAIT JUST A MINUTE! I'm ANBU 10 now?! I'm gone 4 about a week and a 1/2 and I get promoted.  That is 2 no toooo sweet!!! (insert Ric Flair "Woooo!!" here)  Okay here we go.

So I gave this topic some thought and found a place I would love to see some ninja action.  The marketplace of Bangkok, China.  Which kinda looks like this . I know what ur thinking...that's basically Ichiraku Ramen but I'm talking about the busiest part of the marketplace. But more like the outskirts of the marketplace.  Like where they are just building new structures and other things.  But I wouldn't want the fight to involve much ninjutsu but a lot of taijutsu.  There's a movie with a great fight scene on a bamboo frame on the side of a building.  Similar to the metal structures built in America that the construction workers use to climb up a building. This will give u a better picture or video for that matter.  Now imagine that but a few ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu techniques thrown in and that's one helluva fight.  If Naruto used his clones there it would be madness....MADNESS I tell ya!  It would just be a free-for-all while dodging and attacking from about 7 stories in the air!  All the while being so much fun...  Better yet, put it in the middle of a body of water. Add some shark infestation.  Where the only way out is to defeat your opponent while saving enough chakra to run, or walk, across the water to safe ground.  Don't forget to doge the sharks!

Well it looks like a mission will be the reason I return to my blog once again.  The series we all joined this site for is now going next-gen and taking NO prisoners. (Here's looking at u, Ubisoft...)

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm (NUNS) hits the PS3 in November so remember...heh, that rhymes.  Back to the task at hand.  Why should u buy NUNS?  A better question is why not? Not only has the game been revamped into crisp high-definition (HD) but the entire series is about to re-invent itself.

Gone are the side-scrolling, up and down jumping days of the past.

A free-roaming battle field allows for side stepping, side jumping, "throw-a-kunai-while-manuevering-around-a-well-placed-exploding-tag-and-support-character" strategic......MADNESS.

Madness u say?

Yes, indeed.  I don't know about u, but, I don't mind being able to leave a trap waiting 4 my opponent while I strategically move him towards that dreaded trap.  Running on walls (SIDEWAYS!) is no biggie here either.  With a free-roaming battle field u can do such a thing and love it.  Imagine...an entire battle fought while standing horizontally on a stadium wall... Out of chakra?  Duck behind a tree to block those kunai.  Opponent running low on chakra? Force him/her to defend themselves while standing on water.   Don't worry the destructable background objects have returned as well so be ready to smash away through a newly re-constucted Hidden Leaf Village.  As for what stages will appear, a couple have been shown (Chunin Stadium, Grassy Plains, just to name a few...) but the rest will be a plesant surprise.  Check out the NUNS official website to some great screenshots and trailers.

So have u heard enough? Are u prepared?  Because this is NOT something u want be left out of, trust me... And if u get a chance, check out Hokage's Room.  U'll get first-looks and exclusives on NUNS. Kakashi, Gaara, Neji.

With Kakashi's expertise in all forms of jutsu he will provide great leadership for the team as well as strength.  Neji's Byakugan will help scout and find enemy forces and his close combat skills, chakra control, and speed allow him to get close for an attack.  Gaara's immense chakra level and long-ranged attacks compliment Neji's byakugan and could allow them to defeat an enemy from a distance.  

It's been a while. I've been quite busy.  W00t! I'm the featured ninja.  Thanks again for all the congrats.  If u get a chance read fellow ninja Midori's blog.  She has some pretty good interviews on her site and she's one of HR's biggest contributors...leave a comment will ya?

Chap. 400: In The Pits of Hell

    So Sasuke has just found out that Itachi risked his life for the Hidden Leaf and has learned the dark history of Konoha. Back to Itachi we go..

The words of Madara speaking to Sasuke: Red is Madara, Purple Sasuke..

• You were too young to understand at the time what was going on with the Uchiha clan. Your father was the mastermind behind the entire coup plan.  He had Itachi join the A.N.B.U. as a spy for the Uchiha clan.  But Itachi was already a spy for the Elder Council.  So instead of reporting Konoha news to the Uchiha clan, he did the opposite.
• Why would he betray the Uchiha clan?
• Itachi grew up as a man who loathed war and violence, having seen the 3rd Ninja war as kid. This semi-traumatized Itachi as to where he grew to avoid violence at all costs and to fight to preserve peace. Danzo and the Elders noticed this in Itachi and used it against him.  They gave him the top-secret mission to wipe out the entire Uchiha clan as an act to preserve the peacefull-ness of Konoha.  If the Uchiha were to rebel, the entire Fire Country would be effected.  This most've taken an incredible mental toll on Itachi I imagine. If u were in Itachi's shoes what would u have done? He would end his clans legacy w/ his own 2 hands. He had no alternative given the history of Konoha and Uchiha.  Coincidently, I was looking to gain revenge on both the Uchiha clan and Konoha together.  Itachi was the only ninja to realize my presence and sought me out.  He came to me to make a deal.  For me to help him kill the Uchiha clan in return for me not attacking the Hidden Leaf in the future.  I obliged.  He eliminated every clan member except u Sasuke, his little brother.  He worried more about u than anyone else, Sasuke.  He even went as far telling Danzo and the Elder Council that if any harm came to you, he would tell every bit of information about Konoha to their enemies. He also told the 3rd Hokage to protect the truth of the Uchiha clan away from u.

Sasuke begins to think about what Itachi said in their battle.

• Could what he is saying really be true? You're lying...U have to be...  Itachi almost killed me in that fight.  He used every jutsu in his arsenal to try and kill me. It makes no sense...
•  If Itachi had really been serious about killing u, u would be dead.  U played right into his hands.  Your rivalry, your hatred, everything u beleive about Itachi was because Itachi made it so.  He pushed u to ur limit in that fight because he wanted to free u of Orochimaru's curse seal and to give u his Amaterasu.
• You lie! Itachi told me u summoned the Nine-tailled Fox against Konoha. U both killed the clan!
• Itachi planned every step of ur fight to the last detail, Sasuke.
• U two were just toying w/ us! U framed the Uchiha! Itachi was the bad guy! He joined the Akatsuki, he was Guilty!
• He did everything for the Leaf, Sasuke.  Leaving the village, becoming a criminal.  This was all planned.  When The 3rd died, he came back to re-iterate to the Elders and danzo that he was still alive. 
• ENOUGH!

Once again Sasuke thinks back on his fight w/ Itachi...

• You're still alive right? U didn't see through Itachi one bit.  His illusion was ur reality. Itachi killed every family and clan member except u, Sasuke. Why? He couldn't. He cried his crimson tears killing his emotions and clan members but he couldn't kill u. Is this getting through? Ur life was more important than the village to him.  He death was designed to make u a hero in the eyes of the Leaf.  He was already dying of a disease Sasuke. He took every medicine he could to stay alive long enough to save u Sasuke.  Even in death, from beyond death, he gave u his eyes, traded his pride for disgrace and ur love for ur hatred.  Itachi prayed for death.  He left the name of "Uchiha" to u Sasuke, And decieved u all the way to the end...Even in death, he died smiling...

That was a beautiful chapter!  The Naruto world is getting more diverse as it goes along.

I won't be summarizing chap. 398 becuase there is no need.  No new information has been revealed just a re-cap of what has already been said.

So let's get to it...

Chapter 399: The Beginning of Everything!

 Okay so Madara says he's gonna explain Itachi's reason for being a spy but first he explains the history of the beginning of the Hidden Leaf village (Konohagure).

• Long ago, when many clans were battling for supremacy, 2 clans started emerging from the battles.  The Senju and the Uchiha.
• The 2 clans battled rigorously. Each accepting jobs that would counter-act the other.  They were becoming rivals.
• One Madara Uchiha and clan came to face off in battle w/ Konoha's future 1st Hokage and co-founder, Hashirama Senju and his clan.  They matched each other move for move in combat.  The Senju were the only clan able to face the Uchiha and vice-versa. The rivalry is solidified. 
• Internally, in the Uchiha clan, Madara loses his sight and is offered a new pair of eyes, sacrificed by his little brother. (this has already revealed by Itachi)
• Soon the bloodshed between their battles became overwhelming. Sensing this, the Senju called for a truce between the 2 clans and a new era begins throughout the ninja world. The Uchiha agree w/ only one opposing, Madara Uchiha. This being driven by his feeling of his brother having sacrificed himself for nothing. However, Madara is forced to agree as only he is the single opposition. 
• With the formation of Konohagure (Hidden Leaf), all countries begin to have just one ninja village per country.  Since each village contains multiple clans, the violence and turmoil subsides.
• Madara continues to oppose the truce between the Uchiha and Senju. And voices his opinion even more when a Senju clan member is elected to be the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf. His fellow Uchiha do not follow him.  And he exiled himself.  Only to return bent on revenge on the Hidden Leaf.
• Madara and Hashirama meet again in combat. This time it is for the position of power in Konoha. It was in this battle the Nine-tailed fox was summoned against Hashirama (1st hokage) .  But being able to use the Mokuton (Wood-Style), Hashirama was able to overcome him.  Their battle site becomes what is now, The Valley of the End.
• Everyone, including Hashirama, thought Madara died in that battle.  But he did not.  He was forgotten in Konoha history and measures were taken so that the Uchiha would not uprise again.
• The 2nd Hokage, Hashirama's younger brother makes the Uchiha clan the military police force.  (Madara refers that this was to closely watch the Uchiha even more). Some Uchiha began to suspect this as well but the 2nd seemed to already have taken measures to prevent another uprisal.
• Time passes and a 4th hokage is named.  Then the most significant incident in Konoha history occurs.  The Nine-tailed Fox appears.  Madara insists this was not the doing of an Uchiha even though he summoned the Fox against Hashirama. But many suspected them of doing so. Mainly the Elders including Danzo at the time, Since the Uchiha's Sharingan were the only power able to control the fox. It was said they were rebelling.
• Shortly after the A.N.B.U. black ops surveiled the Uchiha closely.  And the clan was moved into a secluded corner of the village.  The 3rd Hokage looking to change everyone's view of the Uchiha opposed this.  He was overuled by the Elder council and Danzo.
• Eventually this drove the Uchiha to plot a coup d'etat.  They were planning to take over in Konoha.  Danzo and the elders planted a spy in Uchiha as a safety precaution. That spy was Itachi Uchiha.

But how would Itachi stay true to his clan? How can their slaughter be justified? How could he betray them and become a spy for the council?

This is an summary of the manga chap.  along with my thoeries, rants, raves, and opinions. So let's get to it...

Chapter 397: The Man Who Knows The Truth...

So as Madara/Tobi reveals his sharingan to Sasuke, Sasuke's eyes begin to form Itachi's mangekyo sharingan! To Madara/Tobi's surprise of course.  As he has done w/ numerous attacks before, Madara/Tobi appears after the technique has passed unscathed...

As Sasuke asks, " What was that?" , Madara/Tobi finishes for him; "The mangekyo Itachi implanted in you." He then says Itachi had planned if he was to die in the fight w/ Sasuke, a counter-measure would be in place to eliminate the threat of Madara/Tobi.  As well as to keep Madara/Tobi away from Sasuke. He assumes this technique was designed to activate upon the sight of Madara/Tobi's Sharingan allowing Sasuke to use the Amaterasu. He explains how Itachi transferred his Mangekyo to Sasuke in his last breath and how all of this was to protect Sasuke.

He reminds Sasuke of what he talked about w/ Itachi in their fight.  How he, Madara Uchiha helped Itachi kill the Uchiha clan.  And that Sasuke needed to know why Itachi has done what he has up until this point.  He then drops one the biggest secrets, IMO, to the manga since he revealed himself to have "the power of Madara":

• ITachi risked EVERYTHING to save the ninja world, the Hidden Leaf, and most of all, his little brother...THIS IS ITACHI UCHIHA'S LIFE!

MANGA CHAPTER 396: INTRODUCTION

This is a summary of the chap. as well as my thoughts, theories, rants, & raves.  Comment as u please. Let's get 2 it...

    As we all know, Tobi has just revealed to Team Kakashi his Sharingan as he gets ready 2 leave w/ Zetsu to retreive (or should i say capture?) Sasuke and recover Itachi's body.  Kakashi realizes this and has his team try 2 reach Sasuke before Zetsu and Tobi/Madara.  As Tobi leaves he displays his teleportation abililities more broadly as he zips away.

  Kakashi also notices the cloud formed over the Amaterasu (where Sasuke and Itachi's bodies lay) and has Hinata check it out.  She describes the Amaterasu's flames andTeam Kakashi races to the site.  Meanwhile Tobi & Zetsu have already arrived and Tobi refers to Zetsu as slow. Zetsu makes a remark about not being able to travel at the speed of light like Tobi can...  When they reach there, Kakashi calls on Yamato to subdue the flames w/ his mokuton. Jutsu used is Earth Style: Winding Fissure creating a pathway through the flames.  (Being endowed w/ The 1st dna allows Yamato to suppress and seal any forms of chakra).  Kakashi then uses his Mangekyo to teleport the Team  to the site but they are too late.  (Mind u, in the illustration, when Kakashi teleports his team, it's the SAME  illustration shown when Tobi/Madara teleports.  Indicating they may be using 2 variations of or identical time/space jutsus) .

   We now jump forward to Sasuke waking up unaware of where he is kind of cave. Mostly likely one of the many Akatsuki hideouts.  Tobi begins 2 talk 2 him from the shadows.  Tobi/Madara tells Sasuke he won the fight. Then he confirms he is an Uchiha and says he wants to talk to Sasuke about Itachi.  Hesistant but wanting to know more Sasuke doesn't interrupt.  Tob/Madara begins 2 take off his mask; "I'm the man that knows the "truth" about Itachi Uchiha..."

 Shino attacks Tobi w/ one of his swarming jutsus, The Insect Globe.  They swarm around Tobi with ease and proceed to eat his chakra.  Hinata and Kakashi both acknowledge Tobi's inside the swarm. Then suddenly Tobi vanishes from the inside of the swarm.  Shino's bugs can't see where he went.  Kakashi starts to realize he's using a Time/space jutsu.  That maybe Tobi is not forcing attacks through him but removing whatever part of his body is being attacked then replacing it to where it was. Hinata then focus her byakugan and finds Tobi above them in a tree now. 

Kiba has followed Tobi's scent (which seems to be more effective then both the Byakugan and Sharingan) and tries to ambush Tobi.  Tobi side-steps his Fang-over-Fang technique almost effortlessly sending Kiba crashing to the ground.  Zetsu appears beside Tobi in the tree and begins to debrief him on the Sasuke/Itachi fight.  He says "Itachi's dead. Sasuke has collasped and he doesn't have much time left."  Tobi's demeanor(behavior and speech) then changes to what I believe is Madara.  Naruto calls Zetsu "Aloe Vera" and demands to know where Sasuke is.  This upsets Zetsu's right(white) side and the other says to ignore him.  Tobi and Kakashi exchange glares as Madara/Tobi says, activating his Sharingan (& to Kakashi's shock), "I'll play w/ u children some other time"...

Finally he shows his Sharingan!!!!

  CHAP 394: Sasuke's Victory

So Itachi's now passed out next to Sasuke.  Zetsu begins to wonder what happened for the fight to end like this.  He first debates whether or not Itachi's passed out or dead.  He then goes on to say that maybe Itachi wasn't at full strength when the battle began. Re-iterating on his previous comments about Itachi not dodging some of Sasuke's attacks.  Meanwhile, Amaterasu starts to burn furiously since Itachi is no longer conscious and surrounds the to fighters...will they both perish in the remaining Amaterasu?...to be continued...

 The fight w/ Tobi and Naruto and the gang continues.  Naruto and Kiba team for an attack against Tobi but just like Naruto's attempt before it, they pass right through Tobi.  Hinata and Kakashi realize something going on with Tobi's chakra but don't say what.  Kakashi then calls on Shino's help,  Shino acknowledges & raises his arms as his insects start to swarm. Kiba notices Shino's excited to battle.  He responds "Of course I am. Why? Because I got left out of the last mission..." Shino attacks...
