Naruto Uncut

So I'm really psyched that Naruto Uncut is volumes seven and eight are coming out on DVD. "Naruto's Ninja Handbook" from volume six of the uncut series is my all time favorite episode. But these chapters are some of my favorites with the Sanin Battles and Sasuke versus Itachi, round 1. May 8th and June 10th are marked on my calendars. The boxed set series on DVD is just a more pleasant and easier watch for me because I can zoom straight through and revisit the episodes thatwere my favorites and finally see the shows that I missed. Good stuff!!!

• Return of the Ninja

  Okay, so its been a while since I wrote. I decided that I need to give my two cents on affairs in the Village of Konoha. I started a new job and it pays pretty well, so I should be set up with a PSP and a PS3 by the end of the summer. I've got a ton of PS2 games so I'm debating what to do with them. I'm thinking ebay since they're in mint condition. I rarely get the opportunity to play and I have alot of games that I've played only once or twice. I think I'll keep my Naruto games for now. Call me sentimental. My goal is to get good enough to wreck shop at the next New York Comicon. Big up and respect to all my fellow shinobi that have been members of the Hokage's Room this year. I think the hokage has done a great job. Now all we need to do is get Namco to come up off some of that loot that they are making off of all our game purchases and replenish the rewards. But hey, it's free, and I would have bought the games anyway, so I'm definitely not complaining. Big things are definitely poppin' this year. Beware the Ninja Storm coming!!!!

• Haku and I

  I never liked Haku. Only because the story made him such a girly boy that Naruto thought he was a girl and then he died because he could fulfill the mission that Zabuza game him made him. That is the epitome of wackness! Anyway his speed, accuracy, and keke genkai powers are boss (crystal ice mirrors was owning Sasuke and Naruto), so he could have been a great character. But they had to make him soft as toilet tissue, and mess it all up. 

  So why am I am ranting about this? A character that hasn't been heard from since the first arc of the series.... Its because I got the Haku figure at NY Comicon fro  the Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 Booth. It was free, no complaints there, except the random figure I got out of six possible ones was Haku. Go figure. I gave it to a little girl dressed up like Ten Ten. (I think she already had Haku too, but it didn't stop her from taking it with a smile.) 

  Now I received my figure from Hokage's Room for the Naruto pre-order today. Psyched right! I open it, and it's Haku again!!!! I was so bummed. But I decided to make the best of it. I assembled it and put it on my book shelf. He actually looks pretty tough in the figurine. I'll just try to pretend that he was. I guess it was my destiny. So Haku is now part of my ride or die squad. I will never disrespect him again. Maybe that way, I'll get Itachi, Sasuke, Naruto, or Jaraiya next time. Rest in Peace Haku.

• Chunin Exams

  So, I just watched the Naruto Shippiden movie and it was okay. Visually impressive, but the ending could have been better. However, I am writing to say that they made a big deal about Naruto not passing the Chunin Exams again. in fact Neji was the one that emphasized it, and he's the one that was beaten by Naruto during the first Chunin exams. It didn't quite make sense to me, that the ninja that quit, Shikamaru, was promoted and the one's that won Naruto and Shino (by forfeit) weren't acknowledged for their victories. I know Shikamaru's smart and all, but I think that kind of sends the wrong message. But I digress. I would like to see Naruto promoted as a result of a mission or something, instead of having him fight Konohamaru in the Chunin exams. Actually, by now, Konohamaru is probably a Chunin too. Naruto's much more powerful and clever than just about any Chunin, so they need to promote him and stop the nonsense.

  Which brings me to my second point, I want to be promoted to Chunin too. I am bored with missions that don't level you up. I need an a rank mission to take me over the hump. I am not Naruto. I don't want to be Hokage someday, but I would like to eventually become a Jonin so that I can purchase the statue in the rewards section. I have mastered my jutsu. Let's have some fun, shall we.

• Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 at NY Comicon

  So I got owned in the NUN3 tournament at comicon today. I was playing with Shino and and I had to fight a dude playing Neji. Shino got off a couple of combos, but in the end it was a mismatch. I did get to redeem myself a little bit by playing with ninetails Naruto against curse seal Sasuke and ending the game with a powerful blazing rasengan against the weak --- chidori. I guess I should've stuck with the characters I really know in tournament play. Serves me right. 

  The Comicon was cool. Not enough Naruto though, just the Namco booth. They gave out figurines, but I got Haku which is the only character that I can't stand. I gave it away to a little kid dressed up as Ten-Ten. The T-shirts look cool. I now really wish I had redeemed the Ryo for a shirt. They (Namco) were giving out t-shirts and figurines as tournament prizes, but they should have sold a few too. Oh well, live and learn. The new PSP game looks cool too. It will definitely be a best seller. They should release it at around the same time as the God of War PSP and capitalize on the new user sales. Overall, the NY Comicon was pretty fun.

• Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm

  So I will finally buy a next-gen system when the new Naruto game comes out. I have been resisting buying an Xbox 360 or a PS3 because the games were so expensive and I didn't have a high-def TV. My current TV was huge, heavy, and works fine (it's a 60 inch Sony Wega) so I had a hard time parting with it. I finally got an HD TV from a Radio Disney contest that my daughter won. Big up to the Mickey Mouse and Hannah montana fans. It's only a 19 inch samsung but the picture is super clear and it works great with HD cable. I guess it's time to join the new millenium. I will galdly purchase the Naruto game and a PS3 Metal Gear bundle and go into hiding for a week or two!
