The metabolism of a god...

Oct 24, 2008

So, I need to put on some weight, so getting checked hurts less than what it does now. I started taking a protein supplement 2 weeks ago, and ate regularly. my caloric intake comes out to be 3,375 calories a day(actually it's closer to 3,400* thanks to the Mt. Dew), and only put on 2 pounds. Now, 3,500 calories equals a pound, and since I gained two pounds, I netted 7,000 stored calories. That may not seem all that bad, but that means that I'm burning 2,840 calories a day, on average. That's rediculous! Considering I only work out 3 days a week, I should be putting on more weight that this. I know there are a bunch of people who wished they had my problem, but it's much easier to lose weight than it is to put it on. Especially with a metabolism like mine.

*It's much more than this on Fridays and Saturdays, due to the high calorie count of Smirnoff ice and other drinks "like that".

Well, I think to gain weight, I need to stop working out. The problem is if I do that, i'll slow down, and that's worse than being stuck at 160.

try a high carb diet(i.e. breads, pasta, and other starchy foods) it is an EXTEAMLY fast way to put on weight because carbs store them selfs in fat. not to mention they provide an energy boost wich works out well for you if you work out on a regular basis.

About Me

  • Hmm, let's see. I'm 18. I'm a freshman at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, USA, and I plan on double-majoring in history and anthropology. I'm also playing for the Inline hockey team here. I'm a bit "unscrewed", I like doing things that most people would find too much(like rappelling). I like being active, and I run every day(unless it's wet out) around my neighborhood. Um....I'm a Certified Rescue Diver and Lifeguard, and I love water. I also love video games(hence I'm here). If you want to chit chat, or we have something in common, you can get a hold of me with either a PM, or on MSN(preferred method of talking)...and AIM after 9 or so.
