Disturbed Puppy's killer blog!

Boosh!

  • Been a long time..

    Mar 22, 2009

And for the record, I'm NOT Dead. I have a TON on my plate right now, so my activity is...nonexistant. What all could I be doing?

-17 credit hour semester here at ECU
-Working 20 hours a week at the local Food Lion(supermarket).
    -maintaining my physical condition
-Hanging out with a couple friends up here.

So yeah, that's a ton in itself. But, me being the smart guy I am, I'm also doing some other weird things with the few drops of free time I do have.

    http://www.youricy.com/

That's a social networking site a guy I know made. It's really quite powerful once you get the hang of it, and there aren't any annoying applications. It's capable of hosting images, displaying your favorite youtube videos, and is also a place for you to blog. It also has a feature that allows you to create groups on the site, and have a forum.

I know that sounds like I'm advertising it, but if you need to get ahold of me, I'll be active on there. The group I created on there will pretty much explain where those drops of free time went.

So until I scrape some free time out of my life, later,

  • Quick rant about 12 year olds.

    Dec 5, 2008

Let me explain myself before I offend 90% of the people on the site. For some God-awful reason I accepted a friend request on MySpace from my sister. She's....naieve. Terribly naieve, actually. And despite her not knowing the difference between a pebble and a boulder, she thinks she knows everything, and has it ALL figured out. This includes love.

Anyways, here's the rant. If you're twelve, you know relatively nothing. You still have another year of Middle School(or two years of Junior High) to grasp life's basic concepts(like the difference between pebbles and boulders). Then, you have the savage man-eater known as High School(or Secondary School). There, you'll learn more in four years than you have in the past nine(if you went to kindergarten). And if that isn't enough knowledge, there's always college, which is a complete slap to the face. From there(or High School if you took the short-cut), you'll move on to the "real world". And after you've spent some time on your own, you STILL will not fully grasp the concept of love. Understand, that's after 8+ years of hard learning. Someone in 7th grade just doesn't have the mental capacity to understand how little they actually know. Still, you all(talking to 12 year olds who "know everything") think you've got it all figured out. And you simply don't. So when a 19 year old tells you to stop posting "emo bulletins" about how you know everything, do everyone a favor: LISTEN.

  • The metabolism of a god...

    Oct 24, 2008

So, I need to put on some weight, so getting checked hurts less than what it does now. I started taking a protein supplement 2 weeks ago, and ate regularly. my caloric intake comes out to be 3,375 calories a day(actually it's closer to 3,400* thanks to the Mt. Dew), and only put on 2 pounds. Now, 3,500 calories equals a pound, and since I gained two pounds, I netted 7,000 stored calories. That may not seem all that bad, but that means that I'm burning 2,840 calories a day, on average. That's rediculous! Considering I only work out 3 days a week, I should be putting on more weight that this. I know there are a bunch of people who wished they had my problem, but it's much easier to lose weight than it is to put it on. Especially with a metabolism like mine.

*It's much more than this on Fridays and Saturdays, due to the high calorie count of Smirnoff ice and other drinks "like that".

  • Ever wonder...

    Oct 20, 2008

Why there are "clans" in Naruto?

Well, in feudal japan, there were "royal" families(Aristocrats), called Uji. These Uji were actually more like an extended family(think of Scottish clans) who shared a last name. These Uji were said to be descendants of gods, or kami. These kami were usually physical bodies, such as the sun, a mountain, a waterfall, the rain, thunder, fire, and so on. What I found interesting in all of this is that the God's power is derived from the clan's power. So, if the "Sun" clan was ruling, the Sun God would be the most powerful god in Japan. But if the "Rain" clan took power, the Rain god would become the most powerful god. I thought that was all worth mentioning.

  • I need some help..

    Oct 10, 2008

This is somewhat pathetic to ask, but I'm at a loss. I'm currently waiting for someone to start a Halo RP, which I hope to be a major part of. The problem is...I don't know how. Like I get how to do it, but I'm a newbie. Is there a guide somewhere that I could look at that gets in-depth enough for me not to look like a complete idiot, but not so detailed and complex that I get lost in it? If so, please leave a link to it as a comment. I would be SO grateful.

  • Eternal Sonata

    Oct 8, 2008

Just a quick post here. I own Eternal Sonata for hte XBox 360. It's a fictional game based around Classical Composer Chopin. Overall, It's a REALLY good game, especially considering therearen't any Ninjas, Soldiers/Marines, Spartans, or knights leading the way. Anyways, The folks at BeAffinitive have started up a fansite to promote the game's arrival onto the PS3 System. Now, if you're playing UN: Storm, you'll need a PS3. So, I thought "Hey, why not let everyone know about this site too?"

    http://www.endlessnocturne.com/?friend=8H1jaC

That's my referral code. But, that's not why I'm inviting you(it would be nice if you joined though). It's a really great site, and even has a separate section on the forums for you RP Types.

  • ...And so I lied

    Oct 5, 2008

Regarding the last post. I would have come out of dormancy sooner, but I broke my laptop, so it was delayed a month. Anyways, I'm back. ;)

  • And so it ends....

    Jul 10, 2008

I'm officially ending using this as my secondary blog. I'll now be using the one over at that fancy Soul Calibur Fan site. So, if you read these but never post to them, you can go over there to read up on me. I'll still be active on the forums, and with missions, but the blog is a thing of the past. if you need to get a hold of me, try Private messaging me, I'll still be here :)

PS: if the profile looks a bit off, it's because that site and this one are linked.

  • One last thing....

    Jun 22, 2008

Before I bail out, I just wantd to let everyone know that any long-range forecasts for the area are useless. Every day there is a chance for scattered showers, due to the high humidity. So, you can't really plan around the weather(except for avoiding hurricanes).

  • Gone like the wind!

    Jun 22, 2008

I think everyone should know that I won't be on this week(at all). I'm going on my annual trip to the Florida Keys with some friends, and I won't be back in NC until late Friday.  The place we're staying at has no internet access, and I washed my cellphone last night, so I have no internet for the week.

If any member has a problem on the site(in the forums or with another member), they should send it to either the Hokage, or a Moderator(if you need to know who the moderators are, just look on the forums for a thread being moved)....but not me, I won't be here.

I'll be on here until early tomorrow morning, but I have to drive to Raliegh-Durham NC(a couple hours drive) to pick up the car I'm driving down.

So until i get back, keep it peachy.

I'm also playing for the Inline hockey team here. I'm a bit "unscrewed", I like doing things that most people would find too much(like rappelling). I like being active, and I run every day(unless it's wet out) around my neighborhood. Um....I'm a Certified Rescue Diver and Lifeguard, and I love water. I also love video games(hence I'm here). If you want to chit chat, or we have something in common, you can get a hold of me with either a PM, or on MSN(preferred method of talking)...and AIM after 9 or so.
