About Me
Hmm, let's see. I'm 18. I'm a freshman at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, USA, and I plan on double-majoring in history and anthropology. I'm also playing for the Inline hockey team here. I'm a bit "unscrewed", I like doing things that most people would find too much(like rappelling). I like being active, and I run every day(unless it's wet out) around my neighborhood. Um....I'm a Certified Rescue Diver and Lifeguard, and I love water. I also love video games(hence I'm here). If you want to chit chat, or we have something in common, you can get a hold of me with either a PM, or on MSN(preferred method of talking)...and AIM after 9 or so.

- The metabolism of a god...
-
So, I need to put on some weight, so getting checked hurts less than what it does now. I started taking a protein supplement 2 weeks ago, and ate regularly. my caloric intake comes out to be 3,375 calories a day(actually it's closer to 3,400* thanks to the Mt. Dew), and only put on 2 pounds. Now, 3,500 calories equals a pound, and since I gained two pounds, I netted 7,000 stored calories. That may not seem all that bad, but that means that I'm burning 2,840 calories a day, on average. That's rediculous! Considering I only work out 3 days a week, I should be putting on more weight that this. I know there are a bunch of people who wished they had my problem, but it's much easier to lose weight than it is to put it on. Especially with a metabolism like mine.
*It's much more than this on Fridays and Saturdays, due to the high calorie count of Smirnoff ice and other drinks "like that". - Posted Oct 24, 2008 by DisturbedPuppy | 3 Comments | Share It

Why there are "clans" in Naruto?
Well, in feudal japan, there were "royal" families(Aristocrats), called Uji. These Uji were actually more like an extended family(think of Scottish clans) who shared a last name. These Uji were said to be descendants of gods, or kami. These kami were usually physical bodies, such as the sun, a mountain, a waterfall, the rain, thunder, fire, and so on. What I found interesting in all of this is that the God's power is derived from the clan's power. So, if the "Sun" clan was ruling, the Sun God would be the most powerful god in Japan. But if the "Rain" clan took power, the Rain god would become the most powerful god. I thought that was all worth mentioning. - Posted Oct 20, 2008 by DisturbedPuppy | 2 Comments | Share It

This is somewhat pathetic to ask, but I'm at a loss. I'm currently waiting for someone to start a Halo RP, which I hope to be a major part of. The problem is...I don't know how. Like I get how to do it, but I'm a newbie. Is there a guide somewhere that I could look at that gets in-depth enough for me not to look like a complete idiot, but not so detailed and complex that I get lost in it? If so, please leave a link to it as a comment. I would be SO grateful.

- Eternal Sonata
-
Just a quick post here. I own Eternal Sonata for hte XBox 360. It's a fictional game based around Classical Composer Chopin. Overall, It's a REALLY good game, especially considering therearen't any Ninjas, Soldiers/Marines, Spartans, or knights leading the way. Anyways, The folks at BeAffinitive have started up a fansite to promote the game's arrival onto the PS3 System. Now, if you're playing UN: Storm, you'll need a PS3. So, I thought "Hey, why not let everyone know about this site too?"

That's my referral code. But, that's not why I'm inviting you(it would be nice if you joined though). It's a really great site, and even has a separate section on the forums for you RP Types. - Posted Oct 8, 2008 by DisturbedPuppy | 1 Comment | Share It

Regarding the last post. I would have come out of dormancy sooner, but I broke my laptop, so it was delayed a month. Anyways, I'm back. ;)

I'm officially ending using this as my secondary blog. I'll now be using the one over at that fancy Soul Calibur Fan site. So, if you read these but never post to them, you can go over there to read up on me. I'll still be active on the forums, and with missions, but the blog is a thing of the past. if you need to get a hold of me, try Private messaging me, I'll still be here :)

PS: if the profile looks a bit off, it's because that site and this one are linked. - Posted Jul 10, 2008 by DisturbedPuppy | 1 Comment | Share It

Before I bail out, I just wantd to let everyone know that any long-range forecasts for the area are useless. Every day there is a chance for scattered showers, due to the high humidity. So, you can't really plan around the weather(except for avoiding hurricanes).

I think everyone should know that I won't be on this week(at all). I'm going on my annual trip to the Florida Keys with some friends, and I won't be back in NC until late Friday. The place we're staying at has no internet access, and I washed my cellphone last night, so I have no internet for the week.
If any member has a problem on the site(in the forums or with another member), they should send it to either the Hokage, or a Moderator(if you need to know who the moderators are, just look on the forums for a thread being moved)....but not me, I won't be here.
I'll be on here until early tomorrow morning, but I have to drive to Raliegh-Durham NC(a couple hours drive) to pick up the car I'm driving down.
So until i get back, keep it peachy.

- Awkward!!!
-
So yesterday I wanted to download some Goo Goo Dolls. They're a great band, and despite me being a gigantic Metal Head, I do like them. Also, the other day I was out partying, and my friends convinced me to get a Mohawk. I'm okay with a mohawk, and my hair was long enough to get it up high enough to look really good. That morning, I put on my normal clothes(A white undershirt, a band shirt, and running shorts), then put up my mohawk(with half a bottle of hairspray), and went into the living room, and turned on my iTunes, and started playing my music(the Goo Goo Dolls). Also, I was half asleep, so it looked like someone had nailed me in the face with a rock(black rings under my eyes).
That sets up this: Some Protestant Preacher comes and knocks on my door. I had no idea who, but he was killing my jam, so I was mad. I answer the door, and the guy looked at me, made an awkward face, and said "I'm sorry, I must have the wrong house". he smiled, and left.
I hadn't realized at the time, but looking back, that had to be awkward for him. There's this kid who looks like he just got back from a Sex Pistols concert, listening to alternative music. He probably did have the right house, but at the worst time possible. - Posted Jun 17, 2008 by DisturbedPuppy | 2 Comments | Share It
- Okay, i'm wrong

I have no idea why, but for the past couple years, I've had Killswitch Engaged and Avenged Sevenfold mixed up. I don't know why, or how this happened, but I had the two crossed up.
For the record, i don't despise Killswitch Engaged, they aren't that bad(not my cup of tea, but they aren't bad). Avenged Sevenfold, on the other hand, can go die in a pit of death. The vocalist is the musical equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. The guitars are tuned to sound like a two year old playing on a kiddy keyboard. The drum beats are so simple a blind, UNTRAINED one-armed monkey could play them without difficulty. And I haven't even heard the bass. They're just disgusting.
So yeah, thought I'd clear that up, just in case I bashed Killswitch, they're okay in my book.

PS: I listen to mostly (hard)rock, although some rap's okay, especially stuff with a good beat. No country, and no Pop. - Posted Jun 11, 2008 by DisturbedPuppy | 2 Comments | Share It
