I'll say it right now: It has to be CGI or animated like the show. After seeing how the poorly done the Dragon Ball Z movie with actors is shaping up, I would not want to give any non-Naruto fans (what, they exist?) any reason to dislike Naruto even more. So now let's begin.
The screen fades in from black to a torrential down-pour over Konoha. The streets are abandoned, stores are locked up, and the ninja academy is a ghost of its former self. The scene moves to the Hokage's Mansion, where Tsunade is laying on a sofa, staring up at the portraits of her predecessors, the First, Second, Third, and Fourth Hokages. The pictures seem to stare back at her. The only sound is the rain outside, not letting up for a moment. The screen shifts back to Tsunade who is now crying, asking, "Why didn't the Will of Fire burn stronger? Why didn't it protect him?" The screen pans down towards her lap to reveal that she is holding a picture. She begins sobbing even harder now and the picture falls to the floor. On impact, the glass of the picture frame cracks. The picture is shown to the audience. The picture is a portrait of Naruto.
It is revealed that Naruto fought a battle against a seemingly unstoppable foe. It is also revealed that Naruto was defeated, but not killed. However, the enemy (Akatsuki?) removed the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox from within him. He lost all his powers as a Ninja.
What happens next?......
I dunno but this seems like it could have potential. I think there might be some parts where it could get kinda hokey but all in all, I think this is a pretty good idea for a Naruto movie.
