Rank-up requirements have been officially announced.
In order to rank up in Hokage's Room v.2 all you need to do is complete a mission. That's it (as far as we know - the rules may be different when you get to the Sanin/Kage ranks). The Hokage's Room server will (at the end of the day) run a rank-up script that checks all of the users to see if they deserve a promotion (you deserve a promotion after Hokage has approved your mission submission). A few users wanted to know specifically what time the rank-up happens. The rank up script runs sometime between the hours of 3 A.M. and 8 A.M. Central time (I will update it when I am more certain about what time). Hokage generally does not log on during the weekends, so do not expect to be approved on Saturdays or Sundays.
**It has come to my attention that some missions are not approved the very next day. Some missions are only approved after the mission has been closed. A good example of this is the pre-order missions (they approve everyone all at once so that they can keep track of who needs to be sent a pre-order bonus prize). Don't worry about if you haven't been approved right away.

Since I live in the US, I will only list the US Time Zones, so if you live in a different country you're on your own for finding out what time it will be where you are.
Some missions do not count as missions because there isn't really anything to do about them. Tough luck.

The following is the old rank up list. There are now new ranks so these rank up requirements will no longer work.
Alright, folks, Midori evidentally can't post to the clan blog. I thought he'd be able to. In whatever case, I'm posting this for him. Here are the achievements we think to be necessary to be promoted to the specified rank.
Chunnin
Minimum Forum Posts: 20+
Referals: Estimated to be around 2-4
Minimum Length of membership: 3 Weeks
# of missions completed: Estimated to be around 5-10
Special Jounin
Minimum Forum Posts: 50+
Referals: Estimated to be around 5-7
Minimum Length of membership: 2 months
# of missions completed: Estimated to be around 15-20
Jounin
Minimum Forum Posts: 175+
Referals: Estimated to be around 15
Minimum Length of membership: Estimated to be around 3 months
# of missons completed: Estimated to be around 25+
Link Clicks: Estimated to be around 50+
So there you have it, that's how you can be promoted!

That we are, but I think it's because we haven't figured out how many links need to be sent before you rank up to a certain level.
How many did you send out to get Jonin?

The Hokage Has outright said that the requirements for levling up where number of posts, referals , lenght of memebership and missions completed.
Sending links dosn't impact leveling up at all as far as I know.

What else do I need to do?
A referral is a recruit. At the top of every page you can see "Rewards" and "My Profile". If you click on "Invite A Friend" you can send a link for your friend to sign up. Once they sign up (and activate their account), you are given credit for one referral.
Of course, if they don't make sure that the "referrer" field is filled in (with your screen name) when they sign up - you won't be given any credit.
