-First off, let me cover the POSTING IN ALL CAPS! This is the equivalent of someone yelling at you in real life, which isn't nice. If you can't use proper punctuation it's okay, and capitalizing a word or two to show emphasis is okay too. Just don't post in all caps.
-Next, I'll cover the font colors. While some colors used in the right comobnation are attractive, others are really hard to read LIKE THIS. If you can, stay away from bright colors, or even better, stick to the simple black text.
-Another thing I want to go over are spoilers. There are a couple of things that you can do to keep from spoiling someone else's experience. One way is to post a Spoiler warning. Another way is to camouflage your text with a background color identical to your text. Here's an example:
*Spoiler!*
Naruto Uzumaki has the nine tailed demon fox, the Kyuubi, sealed inside of him.
-We should also try to stay away from useless posts(or double posts) or threads. Don't make a post just to get your count up, it takes up time the Hokage and moderators could be using for other things, like answering (useful) questions the community wants answered.
-Stay positive! The last thing we all need is harassment from our fellow ninja. Remember, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Words can't kill you, but they still hurt, so be careful of what you say.
-Something we could all do without is advertising. While you might want to help everyone out and post your Anime/Manga source, it's not a good idea. That is a form of Piracy, and can(and will) get you kicked off the Hokages Room, which nobody wants. Also, don't let anyone know that you are wanting to/waiting for any copyrighted material, such as a scanlated Manga chapter or subbed Anime episode.
I wanted to finish up with some general forum rules that should already be known, but these rules aren't followed by many members. Before you make a new topic on the forum, make sure there isn't another topic identical or really similar to it. Finally, you should start topics in the correct section. For example, "Who would win in a fight between the Fourth Hokage and George Bush" belongs in the "Gathering of Ninja" section.
By following these simple guidelines, we can make everyones Hokage's Room experience enjoyable.

1st Ammendment: Okay, Apparently some users can't highlight spoilers that they may want to see. If you can't highlight the spoiler, send a Private Message to whoever posted teh spoiler, asking what teh spoiler was.-DP
2nd Ammendment: another thing That I just noticed although it's been an issue on the site. When you're quoting someone, only use the part of the quote you're talking about. In other words, if that person has a four paragraph post, and you want to talk about one paragraph they have, delete the other three paragraphs. Also, you don't have to quote the topic starter, it's understood that you're talking about that thread. That makes it much MUCH easier for everyone to scroll down and around.-DP
