Basics

  1. Search syntax is similar to Google searches.
  2. Words shorter than 4 characters are ignored.
  3. Searches are NOT case-sensitive.
  4. Automatic 'and' queries: The search will only return pages that include all of your search terms.
  5. Only the body of the post is searched by default. Use the Advanced search to also search by subject.
  6. Word variation/stemming is currently not supported. For example, if you search for acting or acted, the search will not return results for act.

Phrase Searches

Sometimes you'll only want results that include an exact phrase. In this case, simply put quotation marks around your search terms. E.g. "cool video games"

Negative Terms

If your search term has more than one meaning (bass, for example, could refer to fishing or music) you can focus your search by putting a minus sign ("-") in front of words related to the meaning you want to avoid. For example, here's how you'd find pages about bass-heavy lakes, but not bass-heavy music: bass -music

    How is he "not gone"? And what makes it necessary for him to sign in? He'll sign in whenever he wants just like anyone else.

    Meaning he has been logging on throughout the Hibernation. Posting new blogs and missions etc makes it necessary for him to Log in./

    Yeah but when he's not signed in, he's gone. And I wish he would write in the foums too. No one knows any of his opinions on anything and it would be cool to actually associate with the guy. I guess its possible and even probable that he uses another account name to post in the forums but it would be more interesting if he was an active user as the_Hokage.

    Most of the time when people ask when he'll be "back" they think that he leaves during hibernation and never shows up until hibernation is done with - this is not the case.  I just want to clarify that The_Hokage does not do this, he logs in as necessary.

    The_Hokage is a busy person, but as the community manager for Hokage's Room his opinions can be interpreted as the opinions of Namco/Bandai and/or Be Affinitive (and he would be legally responsible for it).  If he were to get more personally involved with the community it could be detrimental to his job - he might be accused of playing favorites or he might say something that the managers at Namco/Bandai don't want him to say.  Furthermore, if he were to have a duplicate account it would violate the terms of service for this website.  Every person is only allowed 1 account, even The_Hokage.

    But rest assured, just because you can't see him - doesn't mean he's not around.  He's a ninja, after all. Wink

    I do believe that The_Hokage is a Namco Bandai member. So I bet he is working a bunch of the time. But he still logs on and posts new blog entries. Everyone just has to be pacient.

    What Tiger said does make sense and its very logical but I never thought or would ever of thought that he has something to do with Namco/Bandai. But I can see why he does what he does now.

    Yea,I thinks that he logs in when people do missionss and he tries to approve missions that other people do. And besides maybe he has other important things to do like since Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 4 is coming he's thinking of new things to put here in Hokagesroom.
