Basics

  1. Search syntax is similar to Google searches.
  2. Words shorter than 4 characters are ignored.
  3. Searches are NOT case-sensitive.
  4. Automatic 'and' queries: The search will only return pages that include all of your search terms.
  5. Only the body of the post is searched by default. Use the Advanced search to also search by subject.
  6. Word variation/stemming is currently not supported. For example, if you search for acting or acted, the search will not return results for act.

Phrase Searches

Sometimes you'll only want results that include an exact phrase. In this case, simply put quotation marks around your search terms. E.g. "cool video games"

Negative Terms

If your search term has more than one meaning (bass, for example, could refer to fishing or music) you can focus your search by putting a minus sign ("-") in front of words related to the meaning you want to avoid. For example, here's how you'd find pages about bass-heavy lakes, but not bass-heavy music: bass -music

    Check your facts.  The "limited edition" is a bundle of stuff that comes with the pre-order.  It's not a different game.  All it is is some promotional stuff - a T-shirt, metal tin case, art book, and tournament bracket card.

    I don't know what happened with the site, but there was a post that was supposedly from me that said I paid off a limited edition copy and something about killing players...

    That was NOT me.  It was a website glitch.

    I didn't say it was a different game. I was just talking about the content of the limited edition and that I couldn't decide if I should switch my preorder from the regular to the limited. I know what a limited edition of a game is. I had read somewhere it's supposed to have exclusive DLC content such as extra customizations for character creation. Can't remember where I read it, but these articles mention it too. Wasn't trying to spread any rumors.

    Yeah, extra DLC but they didn't say what the DLC was - so you can't say that it's extra character customizations.


    Side note, they just announced a Soul Calibur IV arcade stick.  It's just like the normal arcade stick but with a "limited edition" Soul Calibur IV theme on it.  I kinda want it, but I'm not willing to drop $50 on it.  It should be noted that this is not part of the limited edition pack.

    some article i read said it would be extra customizations, but i have no idea where i read that now. random searching i guess. if i happen upon it again, i'll edit this.

    i did see that arcade stick on another site. i agree it would be cool, but not for 50 bones. already gonna pay at least 60 for the game. i'll stick it out with the controller like i've done on the last couple Soul Caliburs and maybe try the arcade stick later on.

    Well, the Namco/Bandai announcement did not specify what the DLC would be, so any website that says they know what it is would not be telling the truth.  It's just rumor.

    no point going on and on about it. just sharing what i read with the community. if the info is wrong, who cares? if it's right, then whoopee - someone heard about it beforehand. it's not like it's info that is going to hurt sales of the game or that is damaging to anyone's psyche.

    to CHANGE the topic, this chapter claims to reveal long-kept secrets, but i saw an interview with Katsutoshi Sasaki where he said they may end up doing another if the demand was there. with all the chatter online about this one, i'm betting the sales will easily warrant another chapter in the saga. hopefully we'll have even more Soul Calibur after this one!

    What's this I hear?  Vader and Yoda are on different systems? That sucks! What about the apprentice is he "universal"?  Either way I never liked the concept of Vader challenging Mitsurugi but oh well.  The trailers were good though.  As to u other PS3 online gamers, I, Kilik, and the Kali-Yuga await u...

    new details on soul caliber 4 today is that kratos is going to be in the game as a ps3 exclusive. it hasnt been confirmed yet as it said namco needed the rights from sony to do it. is it me, or are they turning SC4 into super smash bros. with all these cameos
