Forum Search Tips Close

Basics

  1. Search syntax is similar to Google searches.
  2. Words shorter than 4 characters are ignored.
  3. Searches are NOT case-sensitive.
  4. Automatic 'and' queries: The search will only return pages that include all of your search terms.
  5. Only the body of the post is searched by default. Use the Advanced search to also search by subject.
  6. Word variation/stemming is currently not supported. For example, if you search for acting or acted, the search will not return results for act.

Phrase Searches

Sometimes you'll only want results that include an exact phrase. In this case, simply put quotation marks around your search terms. E.g. "cool video games"

Negative Terms

If your search term has more than one meaning (bass, for example, could refer to fishing or music) you can focus your search by putting a minus sign ("-") in front of words related to the meaning you want to avoid. For example, here's how you'd find pages about bass-heavy lakes, but not bass-heavy music: bass -music

    Definitely the Wii.  The games are far more entertaining and fun, and there's still a ton more to come (Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, etc.).  Plus, the Wiimote is completely innovative and works well with most anything.

     

    The PS3 does have some good games, and I do want one, but 1) I don't care that the graphics are awesome, I just want a good story and good controls, maybe something new and fun to use, which isn't happening much; 2) There's no way I'm paying $550 for it.

     

    I'd rather pay $450 for an Elite 360 than $550 for any PS3, especially when Sony is losing their exclusive games to Microsoft (sharing DMC4, sharing GTAIV (not exactly new, but still not great for them), completely lost Katamari... ouch).

      I'd have to say Wii.  I have seen many problems that the Sony website has on their website.  I'll just return the unopened PS3 I bought today and buy the Wii. 

     I mainly wanted to buy the PS3 because I thought it would be able to play Japanese (JPN) games.  But they are saying only PS3 games are region free.
    More importantly it is says right on the box in RED that it can't use the PS2 memory card or contollers, so no uploading your data.

      The Wii games I want:
    -Smash Bros. Brawl
    -Mario galaxy
    -Zelda
    -Wii Fit 

    I'll save another years worth of money for '08.

    I like the Wii over the PS3, only because I havn't played a PS3, and I have played the Wii a bunch of times, its really fun and keeps you active.

    The Wii because Nintendo's always been the company that focuses on FUN games with good graphics rather than mostly CRAPPY games with GREAT graphics.
