Wow, I really didn't expect that. I'm getting more credit than I should honestly, since the site allows my to get ryo easier than most everyone else. There are still several missions which I haven't done and probably won't be able to do yet, so you guys keep after them and keep contributing to the forum and you'll advance too!

I'm guessing it's done on ryo, and being helpful. If you guys haven't noticed yet, he only posted 3 times, but all 3 posts were put together well, and weren't spam. Most of the people(I'll even say all of them) with over 100 posts have spammed at least 1 time, if not more, or they post 1 or 2 word posts, or they comment every time someone makes a comment on a thread, even if the comments not needed. He also got a ton of people onto the site, bringing another + to him. He deserves Chunin, along with a couple other people at the moment.

Call it sour grapes, but I have posted a blog entry on this one http://www.hokagesroom.com/blog.html?bid=1936&view=view_entry&blog_entry_id=4409  Not surprised at the way this is going.  Unless you have your own webpage, you aren't going to get far here.  I would like to see Shikamaru and others in his position take a more active role in participation on this site, not simply advertising from his own.  I could think of two people who deserved the title more than Shikamaru (no offence), RYNE11 and CLOUD1991.  Let's try to keep this fair, let's give a chance to those who aren't webmasters elsewhere.  Not to rain on his parade, but I am going to be waiting for the two I mentioned to achieve that rank... It might take a while if this continues.

I would like that, but till then, I am not going to pat you on the back for this one.

gobinohouko-First of all when you said "Flaming guys" you are trying to say that we are flaming right?Get it right.We are not flaming,we are proving a point and so far it seems people agree with us so shut up and come back when you know what we are talking about.Don't assume things,do your little research and then you can come post.Besides when you are as hard a working member as us you will see what we mean.I am not saying that the hokage doesn't give a **** but I am saying that we definitely need our rewards to because we do alot for this site.

Okay, congratulations to Shikamaru on his promotion, I can see why he deserves it. But there's now another chunin, and I don't see the reason for their promotion. MADRICO has been a member since April 19th, and hasn't posted any posts or comments! Apparantly the selection isn't being done by being an active member on the forums or blogs. Nor is it done by recruiting, because he doesn't have his recruiter badge(I checked it out, he doesn't). So my question is, does anyone know what ninja have to do to bet promoted?

Ya like Cloud1991 Said you can just go in to any old fourm or blog or comeent some one just by saying "belive it" or "i agree" tell them why you agree. Thats the way to become a chunin, is though hard work and efert. yes i am posting this to also try to get to chunin, but i'm not just puting random things, I'm geting my word out also. So for all you who go "Well i posted 50 forms" That right there means you just put one or 2 words. What you need to do is work hard And put every thing in to it. Naruto fo instance Faild 2 times before even becomeing a genin and some of you are complynig you cant get to chunin. But thats manliy all i got to say Cya!

First things first congrats to those who have made the step up to chunin. Now for the rest. There are a lot of people on here complaining that someone else deserved to be chunin and not Shikamaru, well so what that you weren't picked. Everyone on here wants to rank up to chunin and higher hopefully. I know most of the people on here are only here to get the free stuff as rewards. A lotof the people if they had the chance would probobly take a free reward and never come back. This site is supposed to be about Fans of Naruto coming together to talk in the forums, have fun doing missions and spreading the love of the anime, manga and games. So please stop putting down anyone who may be chosen before you because last time I checked there was 3257 members on this site. Just relax, take it easy and your time will eventually come. If you disagree with anything I said, that is your right. Let me know if you must but just enjoy this site while it's here. Semper Fi.

Personally, I think that if you get a lot of referrals and link clicks because you run a Naruto fan site, you deserve it. It just shows how dedicated to the series you are. If you can run a site good enough to attract 100s of people every day, props to you. Way to be hardcore, guys. This site isn't about getting 500 posts and completing all the missions, it's about loving Naruto, and these guys do a darn good job of it.

Still though, the site isn't just about it self; it's about something greater. Sure, you might not want to make a webpage. Say you like talking about Naruto and you're a big name around a Naruto forum. Put the link in your sig and (if the ToS allows it), make a thread about it. If you enjoy drawing fanart, put a link up on your Deviantart (or whatever else) page. Fanfics? Include a little blurb about the site at the beginning/end of your next story. No matter how you show your fandom, there are plenty of ways to get the word out about the site. You don't need to own your own .com name to do it.

I'm not saying community participation shouldn't be a factor. I think it should be a main factor. However, especially because it's early on in the program, I think it's fair to reward those who go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to showing the Naruto love. To maintain and be good at a hobby takes a lot of dedication, and it's something that easily shows. They're obvious picks for the first rank ups. As long as someone continues to contribute positively to the community and is active in most aspects of the site, they should be getting a rank up during the next few batches.

Congratulations to all... who made it to Chunin, you guys deserved it. To all who keep asking "how do I become Chunin", you need to stop. There is no obvious or real answer to this question, you need to be able to prove it that your worthy. The only kind of answers we can provide is: Be active on this site, post worthwhile comments and posts, try to refer people to this website (HR or Hokage's Room), show traits of Chunin that the Hokage would expect (from a Chunin), ect. That is about all I can give you for an answer. Also knowing when to comment, post, or ask questions is another good trait for a Chunin and should be expected, knowing and doing all of the things mentioned here by me and at the right time will most likely show you are  Chunin-worthy. Just try your best and have fun while doing it.
