Comic Cons are getting bigger and better each year and when you talk about these conventions, you can bet that the San Diego Comic Con is the mecca of them all. This year the con promises to deliver more bite than previous years really exciting news already coming out.
Any fun news and/or events you're looking forward to from the SDCC '09? What exciting tid-bits have you already read or heard about? Hokage's Room will definitely be keeping you up to date with any news that comes out of this year's big event about the upcoming Akatsuki Rising.

Long-time members of Hokage's Room are no strangers to the
rich history of NARUTO games from NAMCO BANDAI Games, and fans have gathered
here for years to share their love for the famed orange suited ninja.
Hokage's Room has just further expanded this fandom with its new Games section.
If you've already amassed a collection of NARUTO games from
Uzumaki Chronicles to NARUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM, or even if you own just one,
you can now add them to your personal Collection on Hokage's Room . These new
pages let you write full reviews for the games, rate the games, join specific
discussions, and see which other members own the same game titles as you!
This is just the beginning of some exciting Hokage's Room
changes to come and we want you to be a part of it all. We're very excited to
offer this new feature and wanted to celebrate by giving away some neat Naruto
swag to a random lucky member who is just as excited as we are. Up for
the challenge?
Check out the Send a Link section and you'll see that we've
updated it to include the Game Page section. From now until August 17th,
we are looking for members who will be using their personal links for the Game
pages (found in the "Send a Link" section) and those who write a review for one
of the games you have in your collection. We are looking for some honest, well
thought out reviews so make sure to include character descriptions, game play,
graphics, and any other highlights that stood out or points that you thought
could have been better. We want your real opinions!

In the Shippuden series, the story arc continues two and half years later after Naruto has traveled with and gone through rigorous training with Jiraiya. Many of the most hardcore Naruto fans around the internet found this to be a nice change since the story arc and timeline evolved and the characters go through significant changes in terms of physically aging and becoming more mature (at least they're supposed to be).
The new NAMCO BANDAI Games releases for Naruto have also been following this progression with the latest release of Ultimate Ninja 4: NARUTO Shippuden on the PS2 and the upcoming NARUTO Shippuden: Legends: Akatsuki Rising coming out for the handheld PSP this Fall 2009. Many of you have already been sharing you love for the Ultimate Ninja series and have been submitting photos of your entire Ultimate Ninja series collection for the PS2 and can probably lend your insight to these questions, how well do you think the story arc translated to the PS2 console? Were you already a fan of the anime and manga? What's your comparison from the Shippuden gameplay to the first three games in the series?
With the upcoming NARUTO Shippuden: Legends: Akatsuki Rising coming out for the PSP, do you think it will have a similiar translation as it did for the PS2? July 4th is just around the corner and for some of us, that means we'll be celebrating the weekend with amazing fireworks and perhaps firing up the grill for some BBQ.
Summer is in full swing and Hokage's Room kicked off right last month with a "Race to 30K" challenge for its members. Although we are just shy of making our goal of having 30,000 ninja in the room with us by the end of June, we know that you were working hard to reach it. We definitely appreciate all that each and every single ninja does to help spread the good word about Hokage's Room and it doesn't go unrecognized. We will still be rewarding the bonus ryo to members who helped (and continue to help) bring us closer to that 30K goal. The summer heat is rising and the excitement of fun ahead is burning up! One of the many things that Hokage's Room loves about summer are the gaming cons and they're just starting up. As you may already know, E3 '09 took place a few weeks back and a lot of exciting news and gaming information came out of it - including a sneak trailer for NARUTO Shippuden Legends: Akatsuki Rising!

Naruto and his friends are in for the fight of their
lives as they search for Gaara, the fifth Kazekage, who has been
kidnapped by the dreaded Akatsuki organization. It's a race against
time as the Akatsuki attempts to release Shukaku, the demon sealed
inside Gaara.
NARUTO Shippuden: Legends: Akatsuki Rising boasts
streamlined controls for the PSP, ensuring exciting, fast-paced
tactical battles making best use of each character's Jutsus. Aim and
time the powerful Jutsu attacks with a simple button commands and
devastate the enemies by entering Hypermode. As characters defeat the
enemies or take damage, the Hyper Gauge will start to fill which
enhance the Jutu or unlocks new Jutus. Players will be able to gain
advantage in the heat of a battle by selecting two support characters
to form a three-man team for each mission. Utilize the different
skills each character brings and combine their attacks with yours to
discover ultimate combos in defeating enemies.
NARUTO
Shippuden: Legends: Akatsuki Rising will incorporate multiple modes of
play including two-player cooperative or versus play via ad-hoc local
wireless network. Original Mode lets players experience the Gaara
Retrieval Arc as they battle enemies through lush, 3D anime inspired
environments. Scenario Mode introduces all-new side-missions to pick
up Skill Scrolls which increase your character's abilities including
attack, defense, health and other numerous indicators reflected through
all modes. Akatsuki Mode will let players gain control of members of
the Akatsuki organization for the first time in a brand-new storyline,
diiscovering the Akatsuki;s true intentions while Naruto was searching
for Gaara. Finally, find out who the best ninja is with Versus Mode by
battling against a friend or the computer in one-on-one fights.
